The Directorate of Road Traffic and Safety Services today conducted a Patron and Matron Training at Bunda in Lilongwe District, targeting schools within the surrounding communities.

A total of 20 patrons and matrons from 10 schools took part in the training, which focused on strengthening their knowledge and capacity to promote road safety among learners.

Patrons and matrons play an important role in guiding school safety clubs and helping learners understand safe road-use practices. Through such engagements, DRTSS continues to work with schools and communities to build a stronger road safety culture and protect children on our roads.
