Meet our Good Vision Malawi Southern Region team!!!

This vibrant team started their eye care outreaches yesterday and will continue through 13 August 2026, as follows:

-10-11 August 2026 - Mitole Primary School and St. Matthew’s Primary School
-12-13 August 2026 - Ngabu Health Centre

We are offering free eye screening to help people understand the condition of their eyes and identify possible vision problems.

Vision glasses are also be available at affordable prices for those who need them.

We look forward to meeting you and helping more people enjoy clearer and better vision.

Good Vision Malawi successfully conducted a community eye outreach at Innocent Souls Pvt Clinic, Chimwaza Trading Centre, Dowa, reaching people of all ages with essential eye care services.

During the outreach: 61 people were screened, including men, women, children, and the old. 23 pairs of vision glasses were provided to improve sight and enhance daily living.

Every screening represents an opportunity to detect vision problems early, restore independence, and improve quality of life. We remain committed to ensuring that quality eye care is accessible to everyone, regardless of where they live.

We sincerely thank the community of Chimwaza and Innocent Souls Pvt Clinic for their warm welcome and support in making this outreach a success.

Restoring Sight, Transforming Lives in Nkhatabay

Good Vision Malawi, in partnership with Nkhatabay and Karonga District Health Offices (DHOs), successfully conducted a cataract surgical outreach at Nkhatabay District Health Office.

A total of 57 eyes were successfully operated on, comprising 51 cataract surgeries and 6 other eye procedures. Each successful procedure represents a restored opportunity for individuals to live healthier, more productive, and independent lives.

We commend our dedicated Northern Region team, medical professionals, partners, and everyone who supported this important eye care mission. Together, we continue to break barriers and make quality eye care accessible to more Malawians.

Good Vision Glasses participated in the African Disability Collaboration Summit held at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe under the Ministry of Gender, Disability and Social Welfare.

The summit was held under the theme "Early Action: A Strong Start to Rehabilitation in Africa." It provided an opportunity for organizations working with different disabilities to share knowledge, learn from each other, and build stronger partnerships.

As part of the event, Good Vision Glasses also joined the African Disability Collaboration Outreach Program at Kapezela Primary School in Lilongwe. During the outreach, our team conducted eye screenings for school children and helped those with vision problems.
Many children were screened, and those who needed support received free vision glasses to help them see better and improve their learning experience.

Back in March, optical frame manufacturers from across Africa took part in a skills competition to determine who could produce the most accurate frame in the fastest time. The event showcased talent, precision, and years of experience in the industry.

The top prize went to a manufacturer from Bolivia, whose winning advantage was not speed alone, but patience, consistency, and attention to detail.
