𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐡, 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐜 𝐮𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐩 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐬 𝐝é𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧é𝐞 à 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐮𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

Ameegah Paul, est une jeune femme de 21 ans qui en est à sa première participation aux élections villageoises de 2020. Elle représente le village de Surinam. Mais elle est une candidate spéciale et atypique. Pourquoi ? La réponse dans notre entretien avec Ameegah Paul.

𝐐𝐮'𝐞𝐬𝐭-𝐜𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐢 𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐮𝐱 é𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟎 ?
J'ai participé aux élection villageoises 2020 parce que je crois fermement qu'il est temps de briser ce stéréotype que les personnes en situation d'handicap qui ne sont capables de rien. Je souffre d'un handical cérébral et ma participation à cette élection est une manifestation de mon droit à être traité sur un pied d'égalité et sur la même base qu'un participant valide.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬'𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐝é𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐥é𝐞 𝐜𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 é𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐚 é𝐭é 𝐥𝐚 𝐫é𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 à 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ?
L'élection s'est bien passée pour moi avec ses nombreux hauts et bas. Certains habitants ont douté de mes capacités à faire quelque chose pour le village, Surinam. Pourtant, j'étais fier d'avoir entrepris une démarche aussi audacieuse.

𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐳-𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭é 𝐜𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 é𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ?
Je représentais le village du Surinam, notre symbole était une rose. 284 personnes ont cru en moi et ont voté pour moi. Malheureusement, je n'ai pas gagné cette élection.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀, 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗵?
Bien que je n'aie pas gagné cette élection, je ne suis pas du tout découragée et je veux continuer à faire de la politique et à lutter pour les droits des femmes et contre ce stéréotype sur les handicaps. Je continuerais ma passion pour apporter des changements positifs dans la société.

MY MESSAGE AS THE GROUP LEADER
Dear fans and voters….thinking lot about this message to thank you all or not …..
A big part of being the leader of a political party in your village is that you meet people across the village and hear a wide range of views and ideas about the future. For me, it’s been a reminder that our village is a place of dynamic, generous and creative people with massive potential (while doing campaign).
But people whom we were meeting during the porte a porte are mostly those who kept aside and do not vote for the election.
Our party is the one who change the numbers in this election as we rebelled with the big alliance ptr/mmm/pmsd and we decided to create a party with no affiliated politica parties and we wanted to give the most chances to young candidates without forgetting the veterans…
One things which hit me directly in my heart is that one of my team fans told me that “No need to come at my place to convince me to vote you if you do so that means you didn’t trust me” I told him thanks a lot for your trust.
But the things which intrigue me is that while some are busy passing everywhere to convince people to vote them some passing at back saying pls don’t vote this person even buying votes by giving tshirts with Rs 1000/- , beers, du vin and many things free cars to amizer….
Oone more things to other group...pls while puuting your project from your manifesto pls do it in the district or other village...otherwise ..history will continue..declare piti ki p pou ou....
Anyway it’s a game and should be ending with a winner….
Very happy for the winner and don’t forget that what you plant you harvest same…this is why our village has been witness this last 12yrs.
So…Thanks you all again.. getting 254 votes in a team is ok for us…very happy… we got 360 votes is 360 votes of integrity not that vote which was giving by buying conscience and integrity….
