Grand River South East
Travel tour operators are busy marketing the Ile aux Cerfs islet destination usually by combining it with a visit to the GRSE waterfalls. When the catamarans reaches the entrance of the GRSE river, passengers are transferred to a smaller boat which continues into the river inland. After a few hundred metres travel in the river, you reach a two storey high waterfall. It's not the Niagara Falls of course but it's worth the travel into a calm and exotic place. It can even make a nice background for a photo shoot! From the rocky cliffs of the waterfalls, you will usually find boys of the region ready for a daring jump dive in exchange for a tip. These divers normally make a living out of these daring and impressive plunges.
