[ Food Packaging & Labelling Training for Rodriguan Food Enterprises ]
EDB Mauritius, in collaboration with SME Mauritius Ltd, organised and delivered the Food Packaging & Labelling Training for Rodriguan Food Enterprises from 1 to 5 June 2026.

The three-day programme was held at SME Mauritius Ltd, Malabar, Rodrigues, and brought together over 20 selected food producers representing a cross-section of the island’s food sector.

The training covered food packaging science and material selection, the full mandatory labelling requirements under the Food Regulations 2024 and the Legal Metrology (Pre-Packed Commodities) Regulations 2006, packaging design principles and digital design tools, and labelling requirements for selected export markets.

L’Economic Development Board (EDB) de Maurice, en collaboration avec les principales institutions économiques de La Réunion, organise un forum d’affaires et une exposition afin de promouvoir les investissements et le commerce entre nos deux îles sœurs. L’événement se tiendra les 1er et 2 juillet au Nordev Parc des Expositions.

Ce rendez-vous économique s’articulera autour d’un forum d’affaires axé sur les opportunités d’investissement entre les deux territoires et une exposition réunissant fabricants mauriciens, opérateurs économiques et développeurs de ports francs. Il vise à renforcer les partenariats régionaux, stimuler les exportations mauriciennes vers La Réunion et créer une véritable synergie entre les communautés d’affaires.

Près de soixante exposants, issus de divers secteurs manufacturiers, parmi lesquels des PME et des femmes entrepreneures mauriciennes, seront présents au Nordev à la recherche de nouvelles opportunités d’affaires.

The event brought together growers, breeders, investors, technology providers, and researchers, creating a strong platform for exchange and collaboration.

With 11,600 visitors from 123 countries, the 2026 edition was anchored around the theme “PURE connection”, reflected in continuous interaction among participants.

The EDB Board has approved a series of strategic measures to strengthen Mauritius’ investment climate, support export growth, enhance business facilitation and advance targeted policy reform.

Key decisions include the issuance of Premium Investor Certificates, the finalisation of Golden Visa guidelines, the launch of the BOAM (Bottleneck Observation and Alert Mechanism) platform, support for export promotion initiatives and new policy recommendations to facilitate investment.

ABIDJAN, CÔTE D’IVOIRE – 21 mai 2026 | L’Economic Development Board a débuté sa tournée de haut niveau dédiée aux services financiers à Abidjan, en organisant un Forum d’Affaires exclusif, visant à intensifier les flux d'investissement bilatéraux et à renforcer les liens économiques entre ces deux puissances financières.

Placé sous le thème « Maurice : une plateforme stratégique pour la croissance des capitaux ivoiriens et leur expansion internationale », le forum a réuni des cadres dirigeants, des gestionnaires d'actifs, des investisseurs institutionnels et des chefs d'entreprise pour explorer des structures sophistiquées d'investissement transfrontalier. Alors que la locomotive économique de l’Afrique de l'Ouest francophone recherche des injections de capitaux à fort impact et des mécanismes rigoureux d'atténuation des risques, le Centre Financier International (IFC) de Maurice se positionne comme la juridiction idéale pour structurer les investissements et faciliter l’expansion régionale.

Les discours et les discussions se sont concentrées sur l'exploitation de l'environnement commercial étendu et sophistiqué de Maurice, de ses mécanismes de protection pour les investisseurs et de son cadre réglementaire robuste pour sécuriser la croissance des entreprises ivoiriennes.

L'événement a rassemblé des chefs d'entreprise ivoiriens, incluant M. Faman Touré, Président de la Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Côte d'Ivoire (CCI-CI), Mme Nadine Bla, Vice-Présidente de la CCI-CI, M. Thierry Badou, Directeur de l'Attraction des Investissements au Centre de Promotion des Investissements en Côte d'Ivoire (CEPICI), ainsi que M. Frédéric Lam, Consul Honoraire de la République de Maurice en Côte d’Ivoire. Le forum a également été honoré par la présence de M. Patrick Olivier Daipo, Directeur de Cabinet Adjoint au Ministère du Commerce de la République de Côte d'Ivoire.
