But behind every story of growth and achievement, there is effort, dedication, and opportunity. And sometimes, numbers help tell part of that story.

Each number represents a young person, a family, a conversation, a breakthrough, a new opportunity, or a step forward.

While we remain focused on real impact rather than figures, we are proud of what these numbers reflect: lives touched, potential unlocked, and communities strengthened.

Strawberries in Malta taste like pure sunshine, sweet, fresh, and the perfect reason for a group adventure 🍓

I’m Bertine, 21, and since March, I have been doing my internship with the first-year group at Youth.inc. I joined a youth worker during the Life Skills sessions, learning what it truly means to create space, safety, and connection within a group.

What I love most is how much the young people teach me, not only professionally, but also in the small, unexpected moments. I am learning to play pool, and thanks to the patience of one of the young people, I can now solve a Rubik’s Cube in three minutes. These are the moments that make this experience unforgettable

We wrapped up an amazing time together with good food, fun games, and an unforgettable pool party to celebrate the journey. Grateful for every moment, every laugh, and everyone who made it special.

🍽️✨ What better way to wrap up a session than over brunch?

Some of the young people in their second year at Youth.inc, Agenzija Żgħażagħ decided to make their last session one to remember! 🙌 They put their budgeting skills to the test by planning and heading out to a local restaurant together. 🥐☕

Around the table, we shared laughs, reflections, and some real heart-to-heart conversations about the past year, and what lies ahead as they step into their 3rd and final year. 🎓💬

Some days our social media feeds are quieter than others.

A silent day on our page doesn't mean things have slowed down. Quite the opposite.

Today was dedicated to evaluation, planning, reporting, administration, and all the paperwork that supports the work we do with young people every day. While these tasks may not make for exciting photos, they are essential in ensuring that our programmes remain meaningful, effective, and responsive to the needs of the young people we serve.

Behind every activity, experience, achievement, and success story is a great deal of preparation, reflection, and teamwork.

So if you haven't seen many updates today we're simply doing the behind-the-scenes work that makes everything else possible.

This week, a young person thanked his youth worker. Among the many things he mentioned, one phrase stood out:

"Thank you for the secret lessons."

It made us stop and think.

Youth workers do many things, but often the most important 'lessons' are the ones that don't appear in any programme, curriculum, or activity plan. They are the "secret lessons".

They are the 'lessons' hidden in everyday conversations, in moments of frustration, in trying again after failure, in learning to wait, to listen, to trust, to advocate for yourself, and to understand others.

They are the 'lessons' learned through being accepted, challenged, encouraged, and believed in.

A youth worker may be organising an activity, accompanying a young person, helping with a CV, or facilitating a discussion. Yet beneath all of that, young people are learning confidence, resilience, empathy, self-awareness, communication, independence, and hope.

The 'secret lessons' are rarely written down, but they are often the ones that stay with young people long after they leave our programmes.

To all youth workers: never underestimate the impact of the moments that seem small. Sometimes, those are the lessons that matter most.

Meeting point for transport is in St Venera at 9:45am, transport will also be provided after the event, we will be back at St Venera at 15:00.

It is our practice to present a donation to a selected entity, with funds generated through initiatives and activities organised by young people. On this occasion, the donation was directed to DAR Bjorn, also in recognition of a dear family member of one of the young people, adding a deeply personal and meaningful dimension to the contribution.
