On Sunday 14 June 2026, the mobile blood donation unit will be stationed next to St. Sebastian Church in Qormi and Gozo at Xewkija Health Centre from 8:30am till 1:00pm. If you feel healthy, kindly get your ID card and donate blood.
'General Practitioners' Service in Health Centres on Sundays and Public Holidays
Mosta, Paola and Floriana Health centres are open for emergencies 24 hours 7 days a week.
Gzira health centre is also open for emergencies (cases requiring urgent medical attention) between 8am and 5pm and a nursing service is available between 8am and 8pm on Sundays and public holidays.
The public should attend the health centre of their catchment area. Persons without any identity card will not be attended t

Medicines don’t just need to be taken correctly, they also need to be stored properly ☀️🚗👜

Keeping medicines above room temperature can damage medicines and make them less effective or even unsafe. Medicines left in a car or handbag for a long time can cause harm.
📋 Always check the storage instructions in the patient leaflet, some medicines need to be kept below a certain temperature or even refrigerated.

Nasal spray, antacids, painkillers… They can be easily bought at the pharmacy. 🛒💊 But don’t forget; they’re still medicines and come with instructions for use.

💡 Using them incorrectly can lead to unwanted side effects and even health risks. So always read the leaflet, follow the instructions, and use your medicines wisely!

This is the shared message from European medicines authorities as part of the campaign ‘Medicines are not sweets’. 🍬 The goal? To raise awareness among everyone in Europe about the safe use of over-the-counter medicines.
