🇲🇹Wara xogħol li sar xhur ilu fi Triq il-Kbira, u wara diversi tentattivi mill-Kunsill biex isir jaf meta kien ser ikompli x-xogħol, ġie stabbilit li hemm xi problemi fit-triq li jaghti ghal go bitha ta' apartamenti privati go Triq Gorg Borg Olivier.
Wara dan kollu l-Kunsill sejjah laqgha fit-13 ta' Lulju bejn Periti minn Infrasatructure Malta, Perit tal-Kuntrattur, is-Sindku, l-Avukat tal-Kunsill u l-Avukat ta’ Infrastructure Malta. Waqt din il-laqgha ġie deċiż li fi żmien qasir kellu jsir rapport minn Perit indipendenti, li la jirraprezenta lis-sidien tal-apartamenti ta' Triq Gorg Borg Olivier u lanqas lill-Infrastructure Malta. Dan ir-rapport kellu jikkjarifika jekk il-problema eżistenti għandhiex tiġi rranġata mill-proprjetarji tal-appartamenti fejn tinsab il-problema, jew inkella minn Infrastructure Malta stess.
Bejn it-13 ta’ Lulju u wara hafna tentattivi mill-Kunsill biex jara sarx xi progress, fit-18 t'Awwissu , il-Kunsill ħass li kellu jieħu l-passi meħtieġa u jibgħat ittra uffiċjali, permezz tal-Avukat tiegħu, lil Infrastructure Malta sabiex din it-triq terġa’ tiġi għan-normal u, b’hekk, titnaqqas it-tbatija u l-inkonvenjent għar-residenti tal-lokal.

🇬🇧 Following works that were carried out several months ago in Triq il-Kbira, and following several attempts by the Council to find out when the works were going to continue, it was established that there are some problems with the road that leads into the courtyard of private apartments in Triq Gorg Borg Olivier.
Following all this, the Council called a meeting on 13 July between Architects from Infrastructure Malta, the Contractor’s Architect, the Mayor, the Council’s Lawyer and Infrastructure Malta’s Lawyer. During this meeting, it was decided that within a short period of time a report had to be prepared by an independent Architect, who represents neither the owners of the apartments in Triq Gorg Borg Olivier nor Infrastructure Malta. This report was to clarify whether the existing problem should be repaired by the owners of the apartments where the problem is located, or by Infrastructure Malta itself.
Between 13 July and, following many attempts by the Council to see whether any progress had been made, on 18 August, the Council felt that it had to take the necessary steps and send an official letter, through its Lawyer, to Infrastructure Malta so that this road can return to normal and, in this way, reduce the hardship and inconvenience for the residents of the locality.
