A larger Europe is a stronger and safer Europe.

As the European Parliament has long called for, Member States have given the green light to start EU accession negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova.

The opening of the first chapters on democracy, justice and the rule of law underlines both countries' reform efforts and their commitment to European values. All while pushing back against Russia's aggression, threats and intimidation.

Enlargement is our strongest geopolitical tool, and Ukraine and Moldova belong in Europe 🇪🇺🇺🇦🇲🇩

Proud to see European funds being used to safeguard such an integral part of our cultural heritage.

During a visit to Valletta, Malta, I was able to see first-hand the latest phase in the fantastic restoration of the Jesuit Church here, listen from the Rector Fr Nicholas Doublet to how they managed to access EU funding for the project, and explain what MEPs in theEuropean Parliamentt are doing to make access to funding easier and more straightforward.
