Following up from last weekened, today we share a throwback clip showing the Little Egret. This can be easily confused with the Cattle Egret, also a frequent visitor to and .
The Little Egret has also always been a common bird of passge in the Maltese Islands but over the last few years its increased local year long presence and breeding has made it a common sight. These birds can be seen on most days, both on Ghallis Rock, Ghadira s-Safra, or flying along the coast from St. Julians towards Salina and back. They are also sometimes seen further inland around water ponds and farms.
