Promote the continued existence and effectiveness of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library to the community; to promote the JKPL as a vital informational, cultural, educational, and recreational asset to the CNMI;and to raise funds for JKPL library programs/svc. Our objectives are to promote and support the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library as a valuable asset for the CNMI; enhance the facilities, services, and
resources of the JKPL; access non-government funding sources; and support the freedom to read and free access to information for all.

We are the Friends of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library. Our office is humbly located in the heart of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library. The Mission of the Friends of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library is to promote the continued existence and effectiveness of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library to the community; to promote the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library as a vital informational, cultural, educational, and recreational asset to the CNMI; and to raise funds when possible to augment special items/programs for the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library’s budget.
Because the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library’s programs and services continue to expand to reflect the changing needs of the communities they serve, our actions to date, have fostered our vision to promote the understanding and appreciation of the JKPL and its affiliated libraries, where everyone enjoys, uses, and supports our CNMI State Library.

Please note any cash contribution can count towards Educational Tax Credit (ETC) pursuant to NMI P.L. 15-120. All contributions to Joeten-Kiyu Public Library are fully tax deductible. For ETC donation, please make checks payable to: CNMI Treasury. Should you decide to donate monetarily, please make checks payable directly to Friends of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library or Friends of the JKPL.
