American Memorial Park honors the American and Marianas people who gave their lives during the Marianas Campaign of World War II. 5,204 names are inscribed on a memorial which was dedicated during the 50th Anniversary of the Invasion of Saipan. Within the 133-acre boundary are white beaches, sporting areas, picnic sites, playgrounds, walkways, and a 30-acre protected wetland and mangrove forest. The Visitor Center is open Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Today, Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation. The Court of Honor and Flag Circle at American Memorial Park remembers the 5,204 US Servicemen who died in the WWII Battles for Saipan, Tinian, and the Philippine Sea. Although Super Typhoon Sinlaku damaged the flag poles, the names of these heroes, etched in granite, remain strong and clear. Let us take time today to reflect on their lives and continue their legacy of service.

Join us for our Icons of World War II: Rosie the Riveter program. Recommended for girls in 4th–8th grade, this program is inspired by the story of Rosie the Riveter, an iconic symbol of strength and determination during World War II. Rosie showed the world that women are capable of achieving incredible things, breaking barriers, and stepping into roles once thought impossible.

Through this program, participants will learn about Rosie’s legacy and meet inspiring women from our local community who continue to pave the way in many careers and leadership roles. This is a unique opportunity to celebrate empowerment, resilience, and the limitless potential of women.

Spaces are limited. You can register by scanning the QR code on the flyer or using this link to access the form: https://forms.office.com/g/HwME57b5NC.
