CNMI Brown Treesnake Program

CNMI Brown Treesnake Program Report brown treesnake sightings in the CNMI by calling (670) 28-SNAKE (287-6253)!

Whether by air or by sea or an odd combination of the two, we’re inspecting everything that comes into the CNMI from Guam to make sure that brown treesnakes don’t get to the CNMI. Thanks NMI News Service for covering our important work!

Help out our friends War in the Pacific National Historical Park on Guam search for snakes in Asan Beach Park!

Interested in snake eradication for native species restoration?
Join park scientists on Thursdays and Fridays to check traps and search for snakes! 🐍
From 4:00-6:00 PM, scientists and volunteers will be checking snake traps set along Asan Beach and Ridge trails. From 7:00-10:00 PM, the group will search for the nocturnal snakes in the Ridge jungle.
Training is provided, and there is no prior experience necessary. Earn Service Learning or Community Service hours, get thank-you gifts, and strengthen Guam’s ecosystem!
We ask that volunteers wear closed-toed shoes, and come prepared with bug spray, sunscreen, water, and snacks.
If you are interested in volunteering without the snakes, join us on August 9th for trail and transect maintenance!
If you would like to be involved, please reach out to [email protected].

Santa might have traded in his binadu for a whirlybird, but don’t worry even Santa’s sleigh doesn’t get out of an inspection. We’re sure he’s not bringing snakes 🐍 even for bad girls and boys. Our friends 🐕 in Guam checked his bag for us.

Holy cow, it's Santa! Look up in the sky this afternoon because Jolly Ol' St. Nicolas will be flying over Rota, Tinian and Saipan in a helicopter this afternoon. See the poster for more details.

Please share this so more people can enjoy it!
