This World Environment Day, we’re proud to support initiatives that are helping to create a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable future.

In partnership with Prevent Plastics+, we are supporting a series of activities that raise awareness of plastic pollution, promote responsible consumption and waste management, and inspire practical environmental action across communities.

🌈 June is Pride Month — This Pride Month, the Australian Embassy stands in solidarity with LGBTQIA+ communities across Myanmar and reaffirm our commitment to a more inclusive world.

Advocating for the equal rights of LGBTQIA+ persons internationally is a human rights priority for Australia.

LGBTQIA+ persons are subject to criminalisation, violence and discrimination for no other reason than simply being who they are.

Australia is boosting its support for LGBTQIA+ equality internationally, including in Myanmar, through our Development and Humanitarian programs.

National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 03 June) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

This year’s theme, All In, calls on all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation, every day.

မိမိတို့အနေနဲ့ နေရပ်စွန့်ခွာ‌ရွှေ့ပြောင်းနေထိုင်ရသူတွေ ၄င်းတို့လိုအပ်တဲ့မရှိမဖြစ်အသက်ကယ်အကူအညီများသေချာရရှိနိုင်ဖို့ရာ UNHCR ၊ WFP တို့နဲ့လက်တွဲလုပ်ဆောင်ရတာ ဂုဏ်ယူပါတယ်။

Last week we joined the UN Refugee Agency and World Food Programme to travel to Shan State and meet communities that have been displaced by conflict.

Australia is proud to work in partnership with UNHCR and WFP to ensure that people who have been displaced get the essential life-saving assistance that they need.

ဒီနေ့ကျရောက်တဲ့ International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia မှာ သြစတြေးလျသံရုံးအနေနဲ့ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရှိ LGBTQIA+ အသိုက်အဝန်းတွေရဲ့အသံကို အသိအမှတ်ပြုပါတယ်။

လိင်စိတ်တိမ်းညွှတ်မှု၊ လိင်ဝိသေသခံယူမှုနဲ့ လိင်ဝိသေသလက္ခဏာရပ်တွေဘယ်လိုပဲဖြစ်နေပါစေ၊ လူတိုင်းတူညီစွာတန်ဖိုးထားခြင်းခံရဖို့အတွက်ကို မိမိတို့လုပ်ဆောင်ရတာ ဂုဏ်ယူပါတယ်။

စည်းလုံးခြင်းက လူတိုင်းကမ္ဘာလုံးဆိုင်ရာလူ့အခွင့်အရေးတွေကိုရရှိနိုင်ဖို့မှာအခရာဖြစ်တာမို့ LGBTQIA+ များအပေါ် အကြမ်းဖက်ခြင်း၊ ဖယ်ကြဉ်ခြင်းနဲ့ ခွဲခြားဆက်ဆံခြင်းတွေကိုဆန့်ကျင်တိုက်ဖျက်ကြရာမှာ မိတ်ဖက်များနဲ့အတူ မိမိတို့ရပ်တည်နေပါတယ်။

Today, on International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia, the Australian Embassy acknowledges the voices of LGBTQIA+ communities in Myanmar.

ဒီနေ့ဟာ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတစ်လွှားကလူပေါင်းများစွာအပေါ် ဆိုးရွားစွာသက်ရောက်ခဲ့တဲ့ ဆိုင်ကလုန်းမိုခါတိုက်ခတ်ခဲ့တာ သုံးနှစ်ပြည့်တဲ့နေ့ပါ။

သြစတြေးလျအနေနဲ့ ထိခိုက်ခံရတဲ့အသိုက်အဝန်းတွေအတွက် လူသားချင်းစာနာမှုအကူအညီတွေကို မုန်တိုင်းရဲ့နောက်ချက်ချင်း ပေးအပ်ပံ့ပိုးခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ထိခိုက်ခဲ့သူတွေအားလုံးအတွက် မိမိတို့ စိတ်မကောင်းဖြစ်ရဆဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

မုန်တိုင်းတိုက်ခတ်နေစဥ်အတွင်း သံရုံးဝန်ထမ်းများရဲ့ခြံဝန်းထဲမှာလာရောက်နားခိုခဲ့တဲ့ အောက်ချင်းငှက်နှစ်ကောင်ကိုကယ်ဆယ်ထားခဲ့တာလည်း သုံးနှစ်ပြည့်ပြီဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ အဲ့ဒီအချိန်ကစလို့ ဒီအောက်ချင်းငှက်တွေက မိမိတို့နဲ့နေလာခဲ့ကြတာဖြစ်ပြီး အခုဆိုရင် မိသားစုဝင်အသစ်လေးတစ်ကောင်တောင်ရနေပါပြီ။

Today marks the third anniversary of Cyclone Mocha, which had a devastating impact on many people across Myanmar.

In the immediate aftermath of the disaster, Australia provided humanitarian assistance to affected communities. Our thoughts remain with all those impacted.

It has also been three years since we rescued two hornbills that took shelter in the Embassy staff compound during the cyclone. They have remained with us ever since—and have even welcomed a new family member.

Nurturing youth creativity and resilience

အနုပညာဆိုတာ လူငယ်တွေရဲ့ဖွံ့ဖြိုးမှုမှာ အရေးကြီးတဲ့ကဏ္ဍမှပါဝင်နေပါတယ်။ အနုပညာဆိုင်ရာဆောင်ရွက်မှုတွေမှာပါဝင်ခြင်းက လူငယ်တွေရဲ့စိတ်ကူးစိတ်သန်းတွေကိုအားကောင်းစေပြီး သူတို့ရဲ့စိတ်ခံစားချက်တွေကိုသိရှိနားလည်စီမံရာမှာ၊ (မိမိကိုယ်ကို) ယုံကြည်မှုတည်ဆောက်ရာမှာနဲ့ စိတ်ဖိစီးမှုတွေကိုကိုင်တွယ်ရာမှာလည်း အထောက်အကူပြုပါတယ်။

သြစတြေးလျသံရုံးဟာ မိမိတို့ရဲ့ Direct Aid Program (DAP) ၏ပံ့ပိုးမှုဖြင့် ကလသာပန်းချီပြခန်းမှဆောင်ရွက်နေတဲ့အစီအစဥ်ကနေတစ်ဆင့် လူငယ်တွေအတွက် အနုပညာကိုလေ့လာသင်ယူဖို့၊ ဖန်တီးနိုင်စွမ်းတိုးမြှင့်ဖို့နဲ့ စိတ်ဓါတ်ကြံ့ခိုင်မှုတည်ဆောက်ဖို့ရာ လုံခြုံတဲ့ရပ်ဝန်းတစ်ခုပံ့ပိုးပေးနေပါတယ်။

ဒီအစီအစဥ်တက်ရောက်သူလူငယ်တွေဖန်တီးထားတဲ့လက်ရာတွေကို The Sound of the Soul: The Art of Becoming အနုပညာပြပွဲမှာတွေ့မြင်ရတာ များစွာဝမ်းမြောက်မိပါတယ်။

Art plays an important role in youth development. Engaging in artistic activities strengthens the imagination of young people while also helping them process emotions, build confidence, and cope with stress.

The Australian Embassy, through our Direct Aid Program (DAP), is providing young people a safe space to explore art, foster creativity, and build emotional resilience, through a program run by Kalasa Art Space ကလသာ အနုပညာၿပခန္း.

We were very pleased to see the innovative works by participants at ‘The Sound of the Soul: The Art of Becoming’ exhibition last weekend.
