We are deeply grateful to all who came to sign the book of condolences following the passing of His Majesty King Harald V. We extend our sincere gratitude to Moldova's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi, as well as to representatives of the diplomatic community and all other visitors who took the time to pay tribute and share in this moment of remembrance. Their presence and heartfelt messages were greatly appreciated.

Et praktikantopphold ved Norges ambassade i Chisinau gir deg en unik mulighet til å arbeide tett på utviklingen i en region av stor geopolitisk betydning. Som praktikant hos oss får du innblikk i Norges samarbeid med Moldova innen blant annet energi, utdanning, humanitær bistand og bekjempelse av desinformasjon, samtidig som du følger utviklingen i et land på veien mot tettere europeisk integrasjon.

Som praktikant vil du få mulighet til å jobbe med:
• Politisk, sosial og økonomisk rapportering
• Oppfølging av prosjekter støttet av Norge gjennom Nansen-programmet
• Profilering og sosiale medier
• Møter, arrangementer og kulturaktiviteter
• Informasjonsinnhenting og rapportering
• Ambassadens daglige arbeid og oppgaver

Ambassaden er liten, noe som gjør at du blir en sentral del av teamet og får varierte og meningsfulle oppgaver i hverdagen. Du vil samarbeide tett med ambassadens ansatte og få et unikt innblikk i arbeidet ved Norges nyeste ambassade 🇳🇴 🇲🇩

His Majesty King Haakon VIII takes the oath before the Parliament.

The oath-taking is a formal affirmation of the constitutional monarchy and of the bond between the King and the people’s elected assembly.

It is a tradition with deep historical roots and marks the beginning of a new chapter for Norway.

A whole nation is in mourning

‘It is with great sorrow that I received the news that His Majesty King Harald V has died.

A whole nation is in mourning and the people of Norway are left with a deep sense of gratitude for a long life in the service of Norway.

For more than three decades as monarch, Harald V demonstrated an unwavering faith in the Norwegian people. He helped us to see the best in ourselves – and in one another.

King Harald found the words to bind us together when we needed them the most. He grieved with us after the attacks 22 July 2011. He cheered with us when Norwegian athletes excelled. And he guided us, with warmth, wisdom and openness, towards a society with a place for everyone. King Harald had a profound love for Norway. And Norway had a profound love for King Harald.

My thoughts and deepest sympathy are with the Queen and the entire Royal Family at this difficult time,’ said Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre on learning of the death of King Harald V.

King Harald V was born on 21 February 1937. He died at the age of 89.

The Government will be convening soon for a government conference at the Office of the Prime Minister, and after that an extraordinary meeting of the Council of State will be held at the Royal Palace with the new King.

Today, we celebrate the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Moldova 🇲🇩

Over the past 35 years, Moldova has built a strong national identity founded on freedom, sovereignty and democratic aspirations. This anniversary is an opportunity to reflect on the country's journey, its achievements and the resilience of its people.

Norway 🇳🇴 is proud to stand alongside Moldova as a partner and friend. Through our cooperation in areas such as energy, education, culture, governance and community development, we have witnessed the talent, determination and dedication that continue to shape Moldova's future.

As Moldova marks this important milestone, we extend our warmest congratulations to the Moldovan people and our best wishes for continued peace, prosperity and success.

Today, 24 August, Ukraine celebrates its Independence Day.

This day honours Ukraine's history, culture and identity, while also reminding us of the remarkable courage and resilience shown by the Ukrainian people in defence of their freedom and sovereignty.

Ukraine's future is inseparable from Europe's security and stability. Norway will continue to stand with Ukraine and support its sovereignty, independence and right to determine its own future 🇳🇴

We also commend the solidarity shown by Moldova and its people, who have opened their communities and homes to those fleeing Russia's war of aggression 🇲🇩

Într-un bloc de mici dimensiuni din Edineț🏢, locatarii au făcut un nou pas important spre facturi mai mici și condiții de trai mai bune: au beneficiat de elaborarea gratuită a documentației tehnice de proiect, necesară pentru a solicita finanțare prin Fondul pentru Eficiență Energetică în Sectorul Rezidențial (FEERM), implementat de Centrul Național pentru Energie Durabilă.

Documentația a fost elaborată cu suportul financiar al 🇳🇴 Norvegiei și al 🇩🇪 Guvernului Germaniei, în cadrul proiectului , implementat de GIZ Moldova.

Printre măsurile propuse se numără:
• izolarea termică a pereților și a acoperișului, inclusiv renovarea structurii acestuia;
• înlocuirea ferestrelor din spațiile comune care nu corespund cerințelor și îmbunătățirea izolării și etanșării acestora;
• instalarea unui sistem de ventilare cu recuperare de căldură, care asigură aportul de aer proaspăt cu pierderi reduse de căldură.

Proiectul-pilot vizeaza reabilitarea a până la cinci blocuri mici din toată țara 🇲🇩. Astfel, proiectul testeaza fezabilitatea unui model funcțional de reabilitare a acestui tip de clădiri, iar după încheierea pilotării, exemplul va putea fi replicat la nivel național, pentru comunități mai durabile și orașe mai verzi!
