Amid the rapid transformations witnessed by the Marrakesh–Safi region, many citizens and local stakeholders are expressing concern and curiosity regarding the return of the region’s governor, Mr. Farid Shouraq, to his post in Marrakesh, following a period of relative absence from the field. This reflects a deep public attachment to an administrative figure who has made a clear difference in governance through a hands-on and responsive approach.
Since his appointment as Wali of the Marrakesh–Safi region, Mr. Farid Shouraq has established a new management style based on direct engagement, frequent field visits, and decisive actions to resolve long-standing issues—including the rehabilitation of underprivileged neighborhoods, acceleration of reconstruction efforts after the Al Haouz earthquake, and follow-up on major development projects in preparation for upcoming international sporting events.
The public anticipation carries implicit messages: it is not merely a sign of appreciation for the governor himself, but also a genuine desire to see the continuation of the same reformist momentum the city has experienced—particularly after the difficult phase Marrakesh endured following the earthquake and its economic and social impacts.
In general, the people of Marrakesh await the return of their Wali, Dr. Farid Shouraq, not just as an administrator, but as a symbol of a new era that restored confidence in local governance. While expectations are high, the message is unmistakably clear: Marrakesh needs the same drive, the same decisiveness, and the same close connection to the pulse of its citizens—under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him.
في ظل التحولات المتسارعة التي تعرفها جهة مراكش آسفي، تعلو أصوات عدد من المواطنين والفاعلين المحليين متسائلين عن موعد عودة والي الجهة، السيد فريد شوراق، إلى مقر عمله بمدينة مراكش، بعد فترة من الغياب النسبي عن المشهد الميداني وهذا يعكس تعلقاً جماهيرياً بشخصية إدارية أحدثت فرقاً واضحاً في أسلوب التدبير وقربها الملموس من هموم الساكنة ،فمنذ تعيينه على رأس ولاية جهة مراكش آسفي، بصم الوالي فريد شوراق على أسلوب تدبيري جديد، يعتمد على الإنصات المباشر، وزيارات ميدانية متكررة، وقرارات حاسمة لحل مشاكل مزمنة، من بينها تأهيل الأحياء الهامشية، تسريع وتيرة إعادة الإعمار بعد زلزال الحوز، ومواكبة المشاريع الكبرى استعداداً للاستحقاقات الرياضية العالمية المقبلة.
فرسائل ضمنية كثيرة تُقرأ في هذا الانتظار الشعبي، فهي ليست فقط تعبيراً عن تقدير لشخص الوالي، بل أيضاً عن رغبة حقيقية في استمرار نفس النسق الإصلاحي الذي عرفته المدينة، خصوصاً بعد مرحلة صعبة عاشتها مراكش إثر الزلزال، وتداعياته الاقتصادية والاجتماعية.
عموما ساكنة مراكش تنتظر عودة واليها الدكتور فريد شوراق ليس فقط كشخص إداري، بل كرمز لمرحلة أعادت الثقة في السلطة المحلية. ورغم أن الانتظارات كبيرة، إلا أن الرسائل أوضح: مراكش بحاجة إلى استمرار نفس الزخم، ونفس الجرأة في القرار، ونفس الحضور القريب من نبض المواطن... تحث القيادة الرشيد للملك محمد السادس نصره الله .
