On July 16th, 2024, the NCTAMS LANT DET Rota team rang off YNC Matthews!

Serving as the Administrative Department LCPO from June 2023 to July 2024, YNC took pride in assisting all NCTAMS Rota Sailors with command correspondence and awards, creating and editing local instructions, processing re-enlistments, and much more!

YNC Matthews will be moving onto another command and will be greatly missed by our team. Join us in saying, "Fair winds and following seas!" ⚓️🎉

Last Friday, the NCTAMS LANT DET Rota First Class Petty Officer Association (FCPOA) volunteered at Rota Animal Welfare League - RAWL to help with landscaping, caulking windows, and site clean up! The FCPOA was also able to donate wet food and cat litter! Check out some photos from their afternoon! ⚓️🐾

Last Friday, the NCTAMS Rota Family said farewell to ITC Tutt as he transitions out of the U.S. Navy! During his time with the Operations Department, he’s performed in many leadership roles, and made a tremendous impact on the mission and our Sailors. His dedication to duty and the team was exemplary.

ITC, as you transition into the civilian sector, best of luck! We thank you for your years of service here at NCTAMS LANT DET Rota, and we are excited to see what the future holds.

On Thursday, February 29th, the NCTAMS LANT DET Rota family said farewell to LCDR(ret.) Jeremy Hazelbaker, as he and his family transitioned into retirement! He has left a lasting legacy from his tenure as the Officer-in-Charge of NCTAMS Rota from July 2022 to February 2024.

Sir, we are extremely grateful for the sacrifices from you and your family, and for leading our team through the installations and challenges that have come with settling into our new building. Thank you very much Sir! Fare Winds and Following Seas! ⚓️🎉
