🚫 Attention all drone and aircraft operators! 🚫

In preparation for Luxembourg’s National Day celebrations on June 23, the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works has imposed a ban on flights by drones and aircraft operating under visual flight rules. Make sure to comply with these restrictions and enjoy the festivities safely! 🎉🇱🇺

As part of the National Day celebrations on 23 June and in preparation for them, the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works has issued a ban on all drones and aircraft operating under visual flight rules.

Important notification on the ban of drone flights on the 19 March 2024!

On the occasion of a working visit on 19 March 2024, the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works prohibits all drone movements on the 19 MArch 2024 in some airspaces.

👏 We are are pleased to announce the launch of the OPEN A2 course, developed in close collaboration with EUROCONTROL.

Due to high demand, we created this course to help you prepare for the ✈ UAS OPEN A2 exam (Remote Pilot Certificate of Competency) organized by the DAC in Luxembourg.

In this course, you learn to decide when it is safe to fly your drone and when it is not, to fly your drone in a way that ensures you respect the rules and to react appropriately to abnormal and emergency situations, both in-flight and on the ground.

Last Wednesday the DAC organized the second operators meeting of 2022 at premises of Cargolux.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the 7 Luxembourgish operators, holders of an AOC (Air Operator Certificate). It was a great opportunity for the DAC OPS department to present and discuss the new European regulations related to All Weather Operations and Flight Crew Training. Furthermore, the DAC safety department presented the annual safety review 2021 in order to share safety data with the operators and ensure transparency.

Last week, the DAC took part in the ECAC Forum and the 159th Director General Meeting in Paris.
