Sorry Ramen Friends! MANZOKU is exceptionally closed on Thursday 14th May for the public holiday. See you again on Friday!

And don’t forget that the MANZOKU Team are participating once more in the ING Night Marathon this year.

Therefore on Saturday 16th May, the Ramen Bar is exceptionally OPEN FOR LUMCH from 11.30am-2.30pm, but CLOSED FOR DINNER that night. The L’epicerie Japonaise remains opens as normal on Saturday.

JOIN MANZOKU AT THE GRIDX FOOD FESTIVAL (18th & 19th APRIL)

Dear Ramen Friends! We are excited to announce that this coming weekend MANZOKU will be participating at the immense GridX Food Festival in Wickrange for the entire two days. So expect 3 special recipe craft Ramen bowls with our house-made noodles and soup, and quality toppings; some exclusive artisanal Hitachino Nest beers; and a few other treats on the GridX menu.

We will be serving Japanese Soulfood from 12pm until 10pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Find us and many more epicurean delights and attractions in the Food Hall at GridX. It promises to be a weekend of discovery and tasty fare (some even Michelin-starred😉), so hope you can join us to spread the Ramen love🍜💛

Please note that due to our participation at thE Food Festival, our MANZOKU Ramen Bar will be exceptionally CLOSED on Saturday 18th April! Normal service resumes on Wednesday 22nd April.

Being a food entrepreneur was always a fantastical idea and a risky business decision to undertake. Well-informed friends warned us that there were easier ways to make money… haha how right they were😬… but it was a desire for a new challenge, an honourable passion to follow, a willingness to learn, and of course our love of Japanese craft Ramen that drove us forward.

We are thankful to Merkur magazine for the recognition, and for showcasing our story as an example to help other budding entrepreneurs who are about to set out on their own journeys of ethical enterprise and professional development. Similarly our gratitude extends to the House of Entrepreneurship (Chambre of Commerce) for their advice, guidance, and continued support along the way.

The hard work has ultimately paid off, and today our community is more than just a sum of our growing MANZOKU team, but also the wonderful clientele - many of whom have become true friends - that frequent our Ramen Bar and L’epicerie Japonaise, and appreciate what we are bringing to the table!

That itself is the best reward for us as business owners. It will energise us to evolve the business, and we hope we can continue to surprise.

Closed all-day Friday (Assumption Day), but we are exceptionally opening for dinner on Thursday 14th August, for another popular “After-Work Ramen” evening.

Join us from 6pm-9pm in our convivial Japanese Ramen Bar where authentic craft Ramen and a warm welcome is the norm rather than the exception. We will have all our regular tasty ‘bowls of happiness’ plus the seasonal Hiyashi Chuka (cold Ramen salad) to tempt you, so don’t miss out if you are craving some Japanese SoulFood before we close for our annual Summer break.

It’s first come, first serve (the Japanese way) with no reservations possible. We look forward to sharing the Ramen love with you all🍜💛

NB: Our last service this week is Saturday 16th August from 6pm-10pm. After that the MANZOKU Ramen Bar is closed for 2 weeks (the L’epicerie Japonaise remains open throughout!). Hopefully well rested and re-energised after the holidays, we will return on Wednesday 3rd September… see you then!

Join our vibrant MANZOKU team! We are looking for a motivated Ramen Chef, who will be responsible for developing new recipes and preparing ingredients daily, from making fresh noodles, soup stocks, to toppings, as well as side dishes, according to our menu and quality standards. The process is artisanal and favours a mix between authentic Japanese flavours and local ingredients, to create beautiful and authentic Japanese Soulfood that keeps customers coming back for more.

The evolution of the role depends on the requirements of the management team, self-motivation and growth of the business. A passion for artisanal food, in particular Japanese Ramen, is considered essential.

Qualifications & Experience
3+ year experience of working in restaurant / food industry
Specialist in making Japanese foods (Ramen Bar or Izakaya – not sushi)
Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality / Culinary Arts (Luxembourg DAP equivalent)
Languages: English (Independent) is essential, Japanese (Basic) is an advantage
Ability to work effectively, without supervision, in a multicultural environment

Gin, gin glorious gin!

As you can see we have made significant progress with our MANZOKU gin project… and we will be revealing the unique results very soon👀

But first an update: after the distillation process - where our Hitachino Nest Japanese craft beer was initially distilled into the alcohol base for our gin - we waited patiently for the late Summer harvest of Sudachi lime fruits from Japan. Once the fruits arrived, we were finally able to start the definitive second stage, which was the creation of flavour.

So imagine if you can: fresh Sudachi limes (wonderfully fragrant, zesty citrus fruits sourced from Tokushima prefecture); married with the punchy kick of Sancho pepper from Kyoto; and the refined bitterness of Kyushu-grown first flush bio Sencha green tea; these are the special ingredients that form the foundation of our handcrafted Japan-style dry gin💛

Finally we cannot finish without a thank you to , founder of the award-winning , and our good friend and gin connoisseur Kristof Della Siega (and some of the team) for expertly advising us on how to choose a flavour direction.

The launch of the new MANZOKU Summer menu - the current weather is definitely not complying with our plans🌧️😢 - sees the introduction of the “Naruto” Ramen for our younger Ramen friends. Now they can enjoy their own smaller portion of happiness just like the eponymous ninja hero Naruto himself!
