The Norwegian - Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce 🇳🇴🇱🇹 held its Annual General Meeting, kindly hosted by Valiūnas Ellex. Thank you to Giedre Aukstuoliene and her team!! The event brought together members and partners to reflect on the past year and set strategic priorities for the future of NLCC.

The meeting opened with an inspiring welcome 🔈speech by H.E. Atle Konta Midttun, the Norwegian Ambassador to Lithuania. His message encouraged the community to “stay on the positive side and continue doing our best,” reminding attendees that in a world often filled with negativity, turbulence, and conflict, a constructive and forward-looking mindset is more important than ever. Thank you for the Norvegijos ambasada Lietuvoje - Norwegian Embassy in Lithuania for our long and successful partnership 👏

During the AGM, a Board was elected, and two new members, Rita Bogužaitė and Kolbjorn Midttun, were warmly welcomed 👏. The Board will appoint its Chair and Vice Chairman during its first meeting.

The Chamber also expressed sincere gratitude to its leaving Board members 💐👏, Almante Medziausiene (CEO, JOTRON), who has served since 2020 and Gold Member, and Gøran Skeie Ellingsen (CEO and Co-founder of beCrystal), who has been a Board member since 2019.

In addition, the Chamber welcomed a new assistant, Kseniia Kashchuk who will support ongoing activities and contribute to further growth together with Martyna and the board.

The Chamber currently has 87 members, having welcomed 16 new members and 13 lost over the past year. It proudly recognizes its three Gold Members: Ellex Legal, Nammo AS, and AVS PipeFit. We also want to that to all our Strategic Gold Members: Kongsberg NanoAvionics, NorDan Group, ReloKon, Tekoda Elektro AS, DNV, Egersund Group, Minordija, VMG Group, Norvetuva!

Looking ahead to 2026, the Chamber has set key strategic goals: increasing membership growth and retention, strengthening member engagement, enhancing business value, and encouraging member-driven initiatives. Defence & Geopolitics, along with Manufacturing & Industry, have been identified as priority focus areas, supported by a dynamic and engaging activity plan for the year.

The Chamber extends its gratitude to everyone who participated in the event and looks forward to a promising year ahead, with continued collaboration in strengthening Norwegian–Lithuanian business relations.

🔎 Capital Markets, Financial Markets & M&A 2026

2026 began not only on the calendar. Europe is entering a new capital cycle.

The Baltic economies are among the fastest-growing in the EU. Yet the question remains very simple (and very uncomfortable):

Will we remain three small, fragmented markets?
Or will we become a single regional capital platform that institutional investors take seriously?

We began this discussion back in 2009, after the global financial crisis.

At that time, CAPITAL MARKETS, FINANCIAL MARKETS AND M&A was born as a response to the structural weaknesses of our region.

💛💚❤️ 35 years ago, Lithuania made a choice.

On the night of 13 January 1991, tanks rolled into Vilnius. Soviet troops moved in to seize the TV Tower and silence a nation that had already declared it would be free.

Thousands of Lithuanians went out to meet them - unarmed. Instead, they formed human shields around key buildings, carrying nothing but unity, songs, and flags. Fourteen people were killed and hundreds more injured, but Lithuania did not step back.

That moment says a lot about who we are.

When pressure mounts, we do not look for a way to disappear. We stand our ground. We organise. We act together. Resilience and unity are not slogans here - they are muscle memory.

Today, on the 35th anniversary of the Day of the Defenders of Freedom, we honour those who stood between soviet oppression and Lithuania’s future. And remember that freedom is not something we inherit once. It is something we choose to defend every single day!
