The Commander of the German Armed Forces speaks in a concise and precise manner:
Germany must be so strong that no one would even consider attacking it.
We have an ally and a friend who, through national strength and a high level of military readiness, builds true deterrence—clearly demonstrating that a potential adversary has no chance of achieving its objectives.
I have said it before and will say it again—we are grateful to fate that the Bundeswehr is with us here in Lithuania.
Germany stands shoulder to shoulder with us.

Germany's army is facing one of the biggest upheavals in decades.
According to the plans of the military leadership, the Bundeswehr is to be expanded into the conventionally strongest army in Europe by 2039. For Inspector General Carsten Breuer, the goal is clear: Germany must become so strong that an attack on the country is not even considered.
The plan is designed for the long term. First, the Bundeswehr is to significantly increase its defense capability by 2029. After that, the focus is on endurance in a possible war. In the end, the technological equipment should be superior, with more air defense, cruise missiles, reconnaissance, cyber defense, drones and capabilities in space.
Despite all the debates about Trump and the USA, Breuer is sticking to NATO.
