DOCOMOMO KONFERENCIJA IR PROJEKTO „FOMA: UŽMIRŠTI ŠEDEVRAI“ HAKATONAS
Balandžio pabaigoje į Frankfurtą išvykę projekto „FOMA“ skaitmeninimo čempionai - Huriye Armağan Doğan ir Evaldas Vilkončius dalyvavo kasmetinėje Docomomo International konferencijoje ir pabaigė „FOMA“ projekto ciklą hakatonu.
Konferencijos metu susipažinta su Frankfurto architektūros istorija, taip pat išklausytos centrinės ir rytinės Europos modernistinės bei postmodernistinės architektūros tyrimų analizės. Dalintąsi idėjomis apie modernistinių pastatų saugojimą ir paskirtį šiandienos kontekste. Taipogi, Modernizmas ateičiai kartu su partneriais iš Šiaurės Makedonijos (contineo) ir Vokietijos (Architectuul) pristatė projekto „FOMA: Forgotten Masterpieces“ rezultatus.
Po konferencijos, prasidėjo 24 valandas trukęs hakatonas, kurio metu iškeltos problemos ir bendrai ieškoti sprendimai gerinti virtualų architektūros archyvą - https://architectuul.com/
Hakatono metu, Kauną atstovaujantys „skaitmeninimo čempionai” pristatė Kauno archyvą - https://kaunas.architectuul.com/ bei diskusijos metu aptarė kaip skaitmenizavus architektūros paveldo duomenis galima prisidėti prie geresnio XXa. pastatų pažinimo ir informacijos saugojimo.
Šiuo hakatonu, Modernizmas ateičiai komanda ir pabaigė savo dalyvavimą „FOMA“ projekte. Per 6 mėnesius ištyrinėti ir anglų kalba aprašyti 300 modernistinių pastatų esančių Kauno mieste ir Kauno miesto rajone. Visi šie duomenys perkelti į www.kaunas.architectuul.com puslapį, kuriame dokumentuojamas modernistinio miesto pastatų palikimas taps lengviau pasiekiamas visos Europos auditorijai.

Digital champions of the FOMA project, Huriye Armağan Doğan and Evaldas Vilkončius, attended the annual Docomomo International conference in Frankfurt at the end of April and concluded the FOMA project with a hackathon.
During the conference, they learned about the history of Frankfurt architecture and heard analyses of modernist and postmodernist architecture research in central and eastern Europe. Also shared ideas about preserving and repurposing modernist buildings in today's context. Modernizmas ateičiai, along with partners from North Macedonia (contineo) and Germany (Architectuul), presented the results of the "FOMA: Forgotten Masterpieces" project.
After the conference, a 24-hour hackathon began, during which participants discussed issues and worked together to find solutions to improve the virtual archive of architecture at https://architectuul.com/ . Digital champions from Kaunas presented the Kaunas Archive https://kaunas.architectuul.com/ and discussed how the digitised architecture archive can help be more recognised and can become easier to store information about 20th-century buildings.
With this hackathon, the Modernizmas ateičiai team concluded their participation in the FOMA project. Over the course of six months, we had investigated and described 300 modernist buildings in the city of Kaunas and the district of Kaunas in English. All of this data has been transferred to the www.kaunas.architectuul.com page, where the legacy of modernist city buildings is documented and made more accessible to a pan-European audience.
We are delighted to have been part of such an extraordinary initiative and to have had the opportunity to contribute to the accessibility and preservation of Kaunas's modernist history.
