A historical visit today at my office during lunch by a promising young brother, was illuminating and inspiring.

I just couldn't stop telling him how fulfilled I am about his conviction, discipline, and commitment, keep being yourself because history will definitely remember you tomorrow.

Dialogue is the best way to solving problems!

The YouthConnekt Liberia, a youth development program that seeks to expand empowerment of youth across the country model after Rwanda’s YouthConnekt Africa will be hosting a “ National Youth Policy Talk” today at the Monrovia City Hall at noon.

Very importantly, “inclusive participation on key issues to harness the Youth Demographic Dividend” will be the lead topic.

Regrettably, due to the planning and format of the interactive dialogue which is inclusive of Youth high stakeholders from both Rwanda and Liberia, seating capacity is limited. Therefore, attendance is only by invitation confirmation.

As the community leaders of the neighboring communities on the GSA Road made their way with residents of individuals community to the Hall situated within the YMCA Community.

Ericson M. Jaryaa, Youth Chairman of the 16 Communities within the GSA Raod welcomed and appreciated the team headed by the Regional Coordinator of Region Two (2) in Alex Van Siebo.

Speaking, he appreciated Minister D Zeogar Wilson and President Weah, President of the Republic of Liberia for providing them the opportunity to be part of the project.

Deputy Minister Doe presides over GoL-UN Joint Technical Committee Meeting on At Risk Youth Project.

Today, under the dynamic leadership of Youth and Sports Minister D Zeogar Wilson, Deputy Minister for Youth Development Isaac Doe presided over the first Joint GoL-UN technical Committee meeting on Government's proposed Vulnerable/ At Risk Youth (Zogos n Zogese) Project. The project, as envisage d by H. E Dr. George M. Weah in solving once and for all Liberia's growing At Risk Youth ( Zogos n Zogese) problem, will seek to take our brothers and sisters from the streets and transform them into brighter citizens.

Challenges may be on the road but we are definitely striving to reach the final destination.

The future of At-Risk Youth (Zogos n Zogese) looks bright !!

Today, the Ministry of Youth n Sports under d distinguished leadership of Hon. D Zeogar Wilson held its first Inter-Governmental Agency meeting which was centered on Government's plan to solve Liberia's growing At-Risk Youth (Zogos) problem.

Using experiences from other similar projects such as the Social Economy Empowerment of Disadvantaged Youth (SEED) Project which transformed the lives of over 430 At Risk Youth with more than 90 still in the final phases of their rehabilitation and Economy Empowerment, the At-Risk Youth Project will seek to transform the lives of those commonly referred to as "Zogos" into productive citizens .

This project seeks to be one of the largest interms of Youth Development investment in Liberia ,. Thanks to H.E Dr. George Weah for never abandoning the plights of the Young ppl of Liberia, the Finance Minister Hon. Samuel Tweah and Youth and Sports Minister D Zeogar Wilson as well as our partners who have expressed a great level of willingness to invest as much as possible in this lives saving project.

Liberian Youths Benefit from Empowerment Training!

Yesterday, more than 50 young Liberian entrepreneurs benefited from an Empowerment Training organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with YEP Consults, Inc. under the YouthConnekt Program. The training was held under the theme “Empowering Young People to plan strategically, set realistic goals and achieve!”
