Movement for the Amalgamation or Annexation of
Liberia to America U.S.A (MAALA)
After 168 years of hasty self proclaimed and immature independence, Liberia remains a global symbol and pictogram of abject poverty, rampant corruption, chronic nepotism, economic inequality, backwardness, under development, entrenched in justices, bogus concessions, ill representation of the masses, bad governance
and list goes on with the infinite roll call of uncontrollable malpractices in the Government, the private sector and non for profit organizations. Moreover, given the consistent and miserable failure of the past 22 plus political regimes and Presidents to live up to making Liberia the illumination on the continent of Africa and the model and mentor for others to follow since gaining Independence in 1847 as the Oldest African State on the continent; disappointingly, Liberia remains and is the symbol of abject poverty and bad governance wherein today, about 85% of the population live below the international poverty line. Against this backdrop and many uncountable reasons, a group of conscious, patriotic, futuristic and nationalistic Liberians under the banner of the “MOVEMENT for AMALGAMATION or ANNEXATION of LIBERIA to AMERICA- U.S.A (MAALA) have unanimously decided undertake a worthy struggle and national campaign aimed at amalgamating or annexing Liberia to America as the best and only alternative for perpetual economic growth and development through the Americanize Governance and Administrative system, thereby leading to a prosperous, peaceful, stabilized, developed and systematic Liberia with opportunities for all.
