Legislative Information Service - LIS LIS - A Bicameral Department Established to Provide Professional (Library, Archival, Research, etc.) Services to all 103 Lawmakers, Committees & Staff.

The Legislative Information Service (LIS) serves as the information repository (knowledge bank) and research resource for the Legislature of Liberia; the Department evolved out of the Legislature’s five-year Modernization Plan (2009-2013) and works exclusively for the Liberian Legislature by and through the provision of objective, nonpartisan research and analysis to committees and Members of the Senate and House of Representatives. The LIS is charged with the responsibility to provide information-related and other services to 103 member offices, 60 statutory and standing committees, 26 departments and/or sectional offices and as well to members of the public.
