PPCC Presents ICT Equipment to Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Strengthen e-GP Implementation
The Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC) has presented Information and Communications Technology (ICT) equipment to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacity of public institutions and support the effective implementation of Liberia’s Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) System.
The presentation forms part of PPCC’s broader initiative to equip Ministries, Agencies and Commissions (MACs) with the necessary technology to participate effectively in the country’s digital procurement system.
Receiving the equipment on behalf of the Ministry was the Deputy Minister for Administration, Hon. Gabriel H. Salee, along with the Ministry’s Procurement Director and relevant officials.
Hon. Salee welcomed the support from PPCC, noting the importance of equipping government institutions with the tools needed to improve efficiency, transparency and accountability in public procurement.
The provision of the equipment is expected to enhance the Ministry’s ability to access and utilize the e-GP platform, while strengthening procurement processes and promoting greater efficiency in the management of public resources.
The initiative is aligned with PPCC’s continued efforts to expand the adoption and effective use of the e-GP system across government institutions. Through the provision of ICT equipment and capacity-building support, PPCC continues to work with public entities to ensure that the transition to electronic procurement is practical, inclusive and sustainable.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is among the institutions benefiting from the second phase of PPCC’s ICT equipment distribution to 50 Ministries, Agencies and Commissions across Liberia.
PPCC remains committed to strengthening Liberia’s public procurement system through digital transformation, institutional capacity building and the promotion of transparent and efficient procurement practices.
