හොඳ වෙළඳපලක් සහ මිලක් සහිත ගර්කින් වගාව අඩු කලකින් අස්වනු ලබාගත හැකි භෝග අතරද ප්‍රමුඛත්වය ගනී.. මේ හේතුවෙන් සාර්ප් ව්‍යාපෘතියේ රාජ්‍ය පෞද්ගලික හවුල්කාරිත්ව සහ නිෂ්පාදන වැඩසටහන් යටතේ ගර්කින් වගාව සඳහා ගොවින් යොමු කිරීමට කටයුතු කරනු ලබයි.. ඒ අනුව රිට්සෙල් වෝල්කර් ආයතනය සමඟ සිදු කරනු ලබන ගර්කින් වගා ව්‍යාපෘතිය සඳහා තෝඳ වෙළඳපලක් සහ මිලක් සහිත ගර්කින් වගාව අඩු කලකින් අස්වනු ලබාගත හැකි භෝග අතරද ප්‍රමුඛත්වය ගනී.. මේ හේතුවෙන් සාර්ප් ව්‍යාපෘතියේ රාජ්‍ය පෞද්ගලික හවුල්කාරිත්ව සහ නිෂ්පාදන වැඩසටහන් යටතේ ගර්කින් වගාව සඳහා ගොවින් යොමු කිරීමට කටයුතු කරනු ලබයි.. ඒ අනුව වව්නියාව දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ ආඩියාපුලියන්කුලම සහ චෙඩිඩිගුලම ග්‍රාම නිලධාරී වසම් වල රිට්සෙල් වෝල්කර් ආයතනය සමඟ සිදු කරනු ලබන ගර්කින් වගා ව්‍යාපෘතිය සඳහා තෝරාගන්නා ලද ප්‍රතිලාභින් 63 දෙනෙක් සඳහා මූලික දැනුවත් කිරීමේ වැඩසටහනක් ඉකුත් පෙබරවාරි 19 දින පැවැත්විණ.
The 4P Gherkin Cultivation Project was officially launched on 19th February 2026 at Andiyapuliyankulam GND in the Cheddikulam Divisional Secretariat (DS) Division of Vavuniya District, with 63 beneficiaries selected to participate in the program.
The inaugural meeting was attended by representatives from Reitzel Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, officials from the Smallholder Agribusiness and Resilience Project (SARP), including the Programme Officer and Development Officer, as well as the selected farmers. During the meeting, the company representatives outlined their production requirements, quality standards, and market expectations under the 4P partnership model.
The SARP Programme Officer outlined the project framework and the cost-sharing arrangement, informing beneficiaries that they are required to contribute 10% of the total investment, while the remaining support will be provided through SARP in line with project guidelines. The meeting concluded with strong interest and commitment from the beneficiaries, marking a positive start toward improving income generation and strengthening market linkages in the village.
