Today December 5th is International Leo Day. Leo Clubs all over the world celebrate this day with special community projects. The Leo Club program, an integral part of the Lions Family. Leo Clubs provide young people with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national and international community.

"Up with hope, down with dope"

Our Leo club of Nallur, in 🦁 collaboration with the Leo Club of Kilinochi 🦁, have launched a drug awareness campaign for the children of Mahadev Ashrama in Kilinochi on 3rd December 2023. ✨ We provide a thorough understanding of drug addiction,🤕 the reasons of those addictions,❓ how to overcome them, the negative impacts of their use, inspiring stories ☯️of individuals who have overcome drug addiction, 💹and so on. We screened two short films 🎥🎦 regarding this topic to raise awareness. This lesson piqued the children's curiosity, and they excitedly engaged with us. We had a good, interactive session with them and are certain that this will be an effective and valuable program for them. ♥️✨🦁

🦁💫💙We joined the Lions Club of Northern Province for a diabetic awareness walk to commemorate Diabetes Awareness Month. We began our journey from Sivan kovil, Vannarpannai about 8 A.M and ended up in Jaffna town around 8.45 A.M. Lions has organized a free diabetic testing camp. It was an honor to be a part of such a great deed. We had a quality time with our district governor and other lions clubs. We also gave the governor and our parental club hard copies of our monthly newsletter. They appreciated our endeavors and encouraged to accomplish even more.💫

Our Leo club of Nallur 🦁 done another good job Called Project 📖.This project for 📚. Jaffna main library 🏢also joined with us . In this project we planned💭 to creat a small Library in Backward schools🏫. Then we faced a problem ⚠️ that is *how to push the students to read*. Then we discussed with Jaffna main library staffs then they joined with us and done a great job ✨. We done this project in two schools🚻🏫. We done their *Small library setup🏢 , donating 150+ books 📚, show main library setup in a Bus 🚎🛜(Mobile Library) , show old stamp collection 💷 , interact with students 🎊, give a motivational speeches💫, give advice about nowaday's social problems like drugs♨️ , creat Library corners in every class rooms ♥️ , push them to creat a home 🏠 library and mainly we done 🤩 drama about how to over come drugs problems by Reading good books.* 🤩After that we made times For students feedback❣️ . We know howmuch impact created by us in their mind from their feedback. ✨ ♥️ 📖 🦁
