Government Valuation Department Inaugurates the New Year’s Duties

The inauguration ceremony for the year 2026 was held today at 8:30 a.m. on January 1, 2026

The National Flag was hoisted by the Senior Valuer, and the National Anthem was played.

The Department Flag was hoisted by the Valuer, followed by the playing of the Department Anthem.

To mark the commencement of duties on the first day of the year, all officers took the oath of public service under the theme of “Clean Sri Lanka.”

A two-minute silence was observed in honor of those who sacrificed their lives for the country.

📚 As part of our commitment to professional development in Valuation Services, a training program on Rating Valuation (Statutory Valuation) was held today at the Jaffna District Secretariat Conference Hall for our newly appointed Assistant Valuers.

The program was arranged by our Senior Valuer and Valuers, and conducted by our Senior Assistant Valuers, who shared their valuable knowledge and field experience to guide the new officers in statutory valuation practices.
