Volunteer Appreciation Programme – Sri Lanka Red Cross Society (SLRCS)
In heartfelt recognition of the unwavering dedication and selfless service of our volunteers, a Volunteer Appreciation Programme was officially conducted to honour those who worked tirelessly in the Relief Item Donation Programme and House Cleaning Programme carried out in support of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Polonnaruwa Branch, following the severe flooding caused by the Ditwah Cyclone.
This programme was organized to acknowledge the immense commitment, courage, and compassion shown by our volunteer members, who stood at the forefront of humanitarian response during this critical period.
We extend our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all donors who generously supported this mission with goods, essential items, and most importantly, financial contributions. Our special appreciation goes to Mr. Sahan Weerasinghe, Ms. Patricia Peck, Chief Engineer Mr. Mahesh Rajananayaka, Araliya Clothing, and all donors—we salute each and every one of you for your generosity and trust.
The ceremony commenced with the gracious presence of Mr. Sahan Weerasinghe, Ms. Patricia Peck, Chief Engineer Mr. Mahesh Rajananayaka, and representatives of Araliya Clothing, adding great value and significance to this occasion.
Special thanks go to the Hon. Vice Chairman of Galle Branch, Mr. Upali Sirimanne; Branch Secretary, Mr. Kolitha Pathirana; and Chief Engineer, Mr. Mahesh Rajananayaka for their invaluable leadership, guidance, management, and advisory support in successfully carrying out the entire relief item distribution programme.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Polonnaruwa Branch for their warm hospitality, cooperation, and continuous support once again.
Together, through unity and humanity, we continue to restore hope, dignity, and resilience among affected communities. ❤️
