𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚 – දකුණ හා සබරගමුව එක්ව ඉදිරි පියවරක් තබමින් | 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚 – 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 🌿🥾🇱🇰
රුහුණු සංචාරක කාර්යාංශයේ සභාපති ජයාන් ගොඩකන්ද මහතා ඇතුළු කණ්ඩායම අගෝස්තු 12 දා සබරගමුව පළාත් මාර්ග සංවර්ධන, ග්රාමීය යටිතල පහසුකම්, සංචාරක, ක්රීඩා හා යෞවන කටයුතු අමාත්යාංශයේ නිලධාරීන් හමුවී “𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚” වැඩසටහනේ ඉදිරි පියවර පිළිබඳව සාකච්ඡා කරන ලදී. එහිදී දකුණු පළාත් කණ්ඩායම සබරගමුව පළාත් මාර්ග සංවර්ධන, ග්රාමීය යටිතල පහසුකම්, සංචාරක, ක්රීඩා හා යෞවන කටයුතු අමාත්යාංශයේ ලේකම් ජී.ඩී.එල්.යූ. කුමාරි මහත්මිය විසින් උණුසුම් ලෙස පිළිගන්නා ලදි.
මෙම මාර්ගය නිවැරදිව හඳුනාගැනීම සඳහා මේ වන විට පර්යේෂණාත්මක ගමන්, Trail අත්හදා බැලීම් සහ Pilot වැඩසටහන් රැසක් සිදුකර ඇති බව සභාපති ජයාන් ගොඩකන්ද මහතා පෙන්වා දුන්නේය. මේ වන විට පුද්ගලයින් පස්දෙනෙකු පමණ Wikiloc සිතියම භාවිත කරමින් ස්වාධීනව මෙම Heritage Trail සම්පූර්ණ කර ඇති අතර, මේ පිළිබඳව සංචාරකයින් සහ අනෙකුත් පාර්ශ්වයන් අතර දැනටමත් සැලකිය යුතු උනන්දුවක් ඇති වී තිබේ. ඉදිරි පියවර ලෙස මාර්ගයට අනුකූලව, එම ප්රදේශවල උරුමය, සංස්කෘතිය සහ ස්වභාවික පරිසරයට ගැළපෙන සුවිශේෂී සලකුණු (Landmarks) ස්ථාපිත කිරීම පිළිබඳව අවධානය යොමු කෙරේ.
මෙම Heritage Trail හි මුල් ගමන්කරුවෙකු ලෙස සහභාගී වූ විපුල ද සිල්වා මහතා තම අත්දැකීම් හා නිරීක්ෂණ බෙදාගනිමින් Landmarks සඳහා වඩාත් සුදුසු ස්ථාන පිළිබඳව ද අදහස් ඉදිරිපත් කළේය. එමෙන්ම ප්රජාව දැනුවත් කිරීම, අවශ්ය අවසර හා අනුමැතීන් ලබාගැනීම සහ අදාළ අනෙකුත් රාජ්ය ආයතනවල සහයෝගය ලබාගැනීම පිළිබඳවද සාකච්ඡා විය.
රුහුණු සංචාරක කාර්යාංශයේ උප සභාපති රවී ජයවර්ධන හා කළමනාකාර අධ්යක්ෂ ක්රිෂාන්ති ගුණවර්ධන හා නිළධාරීන්, සබරගමුව පළාත් මාර්ග සංවර්ධන, ග්රාමීය යටිතල පහසුකම්, සංචාරක, ක්රීඩා හා යෞවන කටයුතු අමාත්යාංශයේ සහකාර අධ්යක්ෂ එම්.එල්.ආර්. ප්රේමරත්න මහතා ඇතුළු නිලධාරීන් ද සාකච්ඡාවට එක්විය.
උරුමය, ස්වභාවය, ප්රජාව සහ ත්රාසජනක අත්දැකීම් එකට එක්කරන Heritage Trail Sri Lanka හි නව ගමනක් වෙනුවෙන් අපි එක්ව ඉදිරියට යමින් සිටිමු. 🌿🇱🇰
The Chairman of the Ruhunu Tourist Bureau Mr. Jayan Godakanda together with his team on August 12th met with officials of the Ministry of Provincial Road Development, Rural Infrastructure, Tourism, Sports and Youth Affairs Sabaragamuwa Province to discuss the next steps of the “Heritage Trail Sri Lanka” initiative. The Southern Province team was warmly welcomed by Ms. G.D.L.U. Kumari, Secretary of the Ministry of Provincial Road Development, Rural Infrastructure, Tourism, Sports and Youth Affairs – Sabaragamuwa Province.
Chairman Jayan Godakanda highlighted that a number of exploratory journeys, trail experiments and pilot activities have already been carried out to correctly identify and establish the route. So far around five individuals have independently completed the Heritage Trail using Wikiloc while there is already significant interest from travellers and other stakeholders. As the next step, attention will be given to establishing distinctive landmarks along the trail in harmony with the heritage, culture and natural environment of each area.
Mr. Vipula de Silva who was among the first to undertake this Heritage Trail, shared his experiences and observations and provided valuable suggestions regarding suitable locations for the landmarks. The discussion also focused on creating awareness among local communities, obtaining the necessary permissions and approvals and securing the support of other relevant government institutions.
Mr. Ravi Jayawardena, Deputy Chairman and Mr. Krishanthi Gunawardena Managing Director, together with officials of the Ruhunu Tourist Bureau as well as Mr. M.L.R. Premarathne Assistant Director of the Ministry of Provincial Road Development, Rural Infrastructure, Tourism, Sports and Youth Affairs – Sabaragamuwa Province, and other officials, also participated in the discussion.
Together, we are moving forward towards a new journey for Heritage Trail Sri Lanka connecting heritage, nature, communities and adventure into one remarkable experience. 🌿🇱🇰
