As another step in the series of initiatives carried out under the NAITA Hope Programme, a medical clinic was successfully conducted at Abayaraja Maha Vidyalaya Berannawa, Yatiyanthota.
Through this programme, over Sixty residents of the area received free medical check-ups and necessary medications.
This medical clinic was organized for the people of Berannawa, Yatiyanthota, who were affected by the recent disaster situation in the area. Students of the Institute of Nursing & Healthcare Training (INHCT), Orugodawatta, participated in the programme together with the staff of the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA).
We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. SASS Dilankani of Apeksha Hospital and Dr. Mohan Sanjeewa Dharmasiri of the National Hospital, who voluntarily contributed their service to make this programme a success.
A small quantity of the remaining medicines purchased for this programme was also donated to the Amanawala Regional Hospital.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who supported this initiative.

🌟 Refugee Support Camp – Sedawaththa Area🌟

We are humbled to announce that a Refugee Support Camp is being conducted for the affected families in the Sedawaththa Grama Sevaka Division, from 28th November 2025 to 5th December 2025, at the Institute.

This initiative has been made possible through the dedication and guidance of the esteemed resource persons from the **NAITA Head Office, including:

✨ Assistant Director IT – Mr. Anura Pathirana

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Grama Sevaka Officers of Sedawaththa and Wadulla, and the Economic Development Officer of the area, for their valuable support throughout this challenging period.

Additionally, meals for the refugees were generously provided by the NAITA Head Office and the Colombo District Office, ensuring continuous care and comfort for the affected families.

Their collective commitment has brought strength, hope, and essential assistance to those experiencing hardships.

Let us continue to stand together and uplift our community. 🙏

🌿 NAITA Hope Programme 🌿

As another remarkable step under the NAITA Hope Programme, a successful medical clinic was held at Sri Shakyasinharama Temple ,Berannawa, Yatiyanthota — bringing healing, care, and hope to a community affected by the recent disaster.

Over one hundred residents received free medical check-ups health advice, and essential medications through this humanitarian initiative.

This community service programme was conducted for the people of Berannawa, who were impacted by the recent disaster situation. Students of the Institute of Nursing & Healthcare Training (INHCT), Orugodawatta,together with the dedicated staff of NAITA,extended their support with compassion and commitment.

The Capping Ceremony for the 2024 Nursing Student Batch of the Institute of Nursing and Healthcare Training, Orugodawatta, was held on 08th April 2025 at the NAITA Head Office Main Auditorium, under the patronage of the Honorable Chairman of NAITA, Mr. H. Abdul Saththar.

The Nursing Higher National Diploma (NVQ Level 06) is a full-time three-year course. Academic staff of the institute, together with senior nursing officers from the Police Hospital and Ninewells Hospital, participated in the event to celebrate the students who successfully completed their first year.

The ceremony was further graced by Eng. Deeptha Appuhami – Vice Chairman, Dr. W. M. S. Wijesinghe – Director General, Mr. Rohan Rodrigo – Director (Planning & Monitoring), Mr. Channa Subasinghe – Director (Quality), and Mr. Asitha Rathnayake – Assistant Director (Cluster/Training).

In addition to the 2024 Nursing Batch, the event was attended by 2022 batch students, 2021 batch students, Telecommunications Batch 05 students, and parents, marking a proud moment shared collectively by students, families, and the institute.

ඔරුගොඩවත්ත හෙද හා සෞඛ්‍ය ආරක්ෂණය පිළිබඳ පුහුණු ආයතනයේ 2024 හෙද ශිෂ්‍ය කණ්ඩායම සඳහා වන හිස් වැසුම් පැළදවීමේ උත්සවය 2025 අප්‍රේල් 08 වන දින NAITA ප්‍රධාන ශ්‍රවණාගාරයේදී NAITA හි ගරු සභාපති එච්. අබ්දුල් සත්තාර් මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් පැවැත්විණි.

හෙද උසස් ජාතික ඩිප්ලෝමාව (NVQ මට්ටම 06) පූර්ණ කාලීන තුන් අවුරුදු පාඨමාලාවකි. පළමු වසර සාර්ථකව නිම කළ සිසුන් සැමරීම සඳහා ආයතනයේ අධ්‍යයන කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය, පොලිස් රෝහලේ සහ නයින්වෙල්ස් රෝහලේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ හෙද නිලධාරීන් සමඟ සහභාගී විය.
මෙම උත්සවයට උප සභාපති ඉංජිනේරු දීප්ත අප්පුහාමි, අධ්‍යක්ෂ ජනරාල් ආචාර්ය ඩබ්ලිව්. එම්. එස්. විජේසිංහ, අධ්‍යක්ෂ (සැලසුම් සහ අධීක්ෂණ) රොහාන් රොද්‍රිගෝ, අධ්‍යක්ෂ (තත්ත්ව) චන්න සුබසිංහ සහ සහකාර අධ්‍යක්ෂ (පර්ෂද/පුහුණු) අසිත රත්නායක යන මහත්වරුන් සහභාගී වූහ.

2024 හෙද කණ්ඩායමට අමතරව, 2022 කණ්ඩායම සිසුන්, 2021 කණ්ඩායම සිසුන්, විදුලි සංදේශ 05 කණ්ඩායම සිසුන් සහ දෙමාපියන් මෙම අවස්ථාවට සහභාගී වූ අතර, සිසුන්, දෙමවුපියන් සහ ආයතනය සාමූහිකව බෙදාගත් ආඩම්බර මොහොතක් සනිටුහන් කළේය.
