🇲🇾🤝🇱🇧 PROMOTING TOURISM & CULTURE BETWEEN MALAYSIA & LEBANON

The Embassy of Malaysia in Beirut continues to actively promote tourism, culture and people-to-people exchanges between Malaysia and Lebanon through various engagements with the Lebanese public and media.

On 31 August 2026, Mr Johan Arief, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Malaysia in Lebanon, was featured in an interview with popular Lebanese radio host Maya Nassar on Virgin Radio Lebanon

The interview gave us a chance to introduce Malaysia to a wider Lebanese audience and highlight its diverse tourism offerings, rich multicultural heritage, renowned hospitality, cuisine, nature, and unique travel experiences.

During the interview, Mr Johan Arief also promoted Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026), Malaysia's national tourism campaign, which aims to attract 35.6 million international tourist arrivals and generate RM147.1 billion in tourism receipts, while showcasing Malaysia's diverse culture, natural attractions, heritage, gastronomy and world-class tourism experiences.

He further highlighted the ease of travel for Lebanese citizens, noting that Lebanese passport holders may enter Malaysia without a visa for social visits of up to 90 days. This provides an excellent opportunity for Lebanese travellers to discover the diversity, hospitality and vibrant culture of Malaysia. 🇲🇾✈️🇱🇧

On 30 August 2026, the Embassy of Malaysia in Beirut also participated in the Jounieh Festival, where Mr Johan Arief shared the Embassy's initiatives to strengthen tourism and cultural links between Malaysia and Lebanon. The engagement provided a valuable platform to promote Malaysia as an attractive tourism destination while encouraging greater people-to-people exchanges and cultural understanding between the two countries.

Through tourism promotion programmes, cultural activities and engagements with the local community, the Embassy remains committed to bringing the people of Malaysia and Lebanon closer together. We hope to inspire more Malaysians to discover the beauty and rich heritage of Lebanon, while encouraging more Lebanese travellers to experience the many wonders of Malaysia.

Together, we continue building stronger bridges between our people through tourism, culture and friendship. 🇲🇾🤝🇱🇧
