Municipality of Bickfaya-Mhaydseh بلدية بكفيا ـ المحيدثة الصفحة الرسميّة لبلديّة بكفيا المحيدثة، وضعت تحت تصرّ? Great Bikfaya refers to four mountain villages : Bikfaya ,Bhersaf ,Sakiet El Misk and El Mhaydsse .

In 1889, the first municipality was established in the four villages as the municipality of Bikfaya . Later , in 1892 ,the municipality of Bhersaf and Sakiet El Misk took form , followed by the municipality of El Mhaydsse in 1904. The four municipalities eventually merged to give it the name of Greater Bikfaya . Under the reign of President Bechara El Khoury the municipality was divided into two r

egions known as the municipality of Bhersaf and Sakiet El Misk and the municipality of Bikfaya and Mhaydsse .
