As part of its emergency response in Lebanon, in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs وزارة الشؤون الإجتماعية, and under the European Union in Lebanon -funded ENABLE Programme, the International Labour Organization (ILO), in partnership with the Safadi Foundation, is delivering work-based training on the production of traditional preserved foods known as "mouneh."
The training compiles practical skills development with community support, enabling participants to gain hands-on experience while producing food items that will be distributed to displaced individuals residing in shelter centres.

Key results of the ongoing intervention include:
📍 Locations: Akkar, Koura, and Tripoli
👩‍🍳 Participants: 41 individuals
📦 Expected output: Approximately 3,600 “mouneh” food parcels

Through skills development and community-based initiatives, the ILO and its partners continue to support vulnerable communities, strengthen resilience, and promote pathways towards economic inclusion and recovery.



تمكين المجتمعات المتضررة من النزوح في لبنان من خلال تنمية المهارات وإحياء المأكولات التقليدية.

بالتعاون مع وزارة الشؤون الإجتماعية ، ومن خلال برنامج ENABLE المموّل من الاتحاد الأوروبي في لبنان، تنفّذ منظمة العمل الدولية، بالشراكة مع مؤسسة الصفدي، تدريب قائم على العمل في مجال إنتاج المؤونة التقليدية، وذلك في إطار جهود الاستجابة الطارئة لدعم المجتمعات المتأثرة بأزمة النزوح في لبنان.
ويُسهم هذا التدريب في تزويد المشاركين بمهارات عملية في إنتاج وتصنيع المؤونة، من خلال نهج يجمع بين التعلّم القائم على العمل WBL وخدمة المجتمع. كما يساهم المشاركون في إنتاج مواد غذائية سيتم توزيعها على النازحين المقيمين في مراكز الإيواء، بما يعزز روح التضامن والتكافل المجتمعي.
ويشمل هذا التدخّل حالياً:
📍 المناطق المستهدفة: عكار، الكورة، وطرابلس
👩‍🍳 عدد المشاركين : 41
📦 عدد حصص المؤونة المستهدفة: نحو 3,600 حصة

ومن خلال تنمية المهارات وتنفيذ مبادرات مجتمعية هادفة، تواصل منظمة العمل الدولية وشركاؤها دعم الفئات الأكثر هشاشة، وتعزيز قدرتها على الصمود، وفتح آفاق جديدة نحو الإدماج الاقتصادي والتعافي المستدام.

النزاع لا يسلب الأطفال والعائلات منازلهم فقط.
بل يسلبهم روتينهم اليومي، وصداقاتهم، والشوارع التي اعتادوا عليها، والمساحات الصغيرة التي تمنح الأطفال والشباب شعوراً بالأمان.

بالنسبة إلى محمد، 18 عاماً، كان النزوح يعني ترك الحياة التي يعرفها خلفه. تُمكّن المساعدة النقدية الطارئة عائلته من تلبية احتياجاتها العاجلة، لكن أمنيته تبقى بسيطة: أن يعود إلى منزله.

ومن خلال برنامج البدل النقدي للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة ، تدعم وزارة الشؤون الإجتماعية، والاتحاد الأوروبي، ومملكة هولندا، ومنظمة العمل الدولية، واليونيسف، إلى جانب شركاء آخرين، الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة وعائلاتهم من خلال مساعدة نقدية طارئة لمرة واحدة بقيمة 100 دولار أميركي لكل أسرة مؤهلة.

It takes away routines, friendships, familiar streets, and the small freedoms that make children and young people feel safe.

For Mohamad, 18, displacement meant leaving behind the life he knew. Emergency cash assistance helps his family meet urgent needs, but his wish remains simple: to go back home.

Through the , the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) وزارة الشؤون الإجتماعية, the European Union in Lebanon, the Kingdom of Netherlands Embassy of the Netherlands in Lebanon , the International Labour Organization (ILO), UNICEF Lebanon and other donors are supporting persons with disabilities and their families with one-off emergency cash assistance of USD 100 per eligible household.

من فنون الطهي وتصميم الأزياء إلى الهندسة والمهن التقنية، يكتسب الشباب في الأردن مهارات عملية وخبرة ميدانية حقيقية من خلال مشروع منظمة العمل الدولية ضمن شراكة "آفاق" الممولة من قبل حكومة هولندا.

ويُنَفَّذ البرنامج بالشراكة مع جامعة لومينوس التقنية، حيث يوفّر للشباب الأردنيين واللاجئين السوريين التدريب المهني وفرص التعلّم القائم على العمل، بما يساعد على ردم الفجوة بين التدريب والتوظيف — بما في ذلك للأشخاص الذين يرعبون بالعودة إلى وطنهم.

From culinary arts and fashion design to engineering and technical trades, young people in Jordan are building skills and gaining real workplace experience through an ILO project under the Netherlands-funded PROSPECTS partnership.

Implemented together with Luminus Technical University, the programme supports Jordanian youth and Syrian refugees through vocational training and work-based learning placements that help bridge the gap between training and employment — including for individuals considering returning to their home country.

For participants like Bassam Shquntana, the experience is opening new possibilities:
