On 27 May 2026, the Italy–Cyprus Business Round Table was convened in Limassol. The event was organized by the Embassy of Italy in Cyprus in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) Office in Beirut, which is also responsible for Cyprus. The round table brought together institutional representatives and business leaders from both countries and focused on strengthening bilateral economic, trade, and investment relations.

Among the participants were Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, Antonella Cavallari, Ambassador of Italy to Cyprus, and Marina Scognamiglio, Director of the ITA Beirut Office, together with representatives of the Government of Cyprus, Chambers of Commerce, Invest Cyprus, and companies operating in the energy, defense, logistics, and infrastructure sectors.

The discussions focused on:🔹 Opportunities to further enhance Italy–Cyprus economic and commercial relations;🔹 Business support instruments made available through the Italian system, including CDP, SACE, SIMEST, and the Italian Trade Agency (ITA).

The meeting reaffirmed the strong mutual commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships and advancing economic cooperation between Italy and Cyprus.

A valuable and inspiring experience in Ferrara for the delegation from Lebanon, Syria, and Cyprus visiting the Salone del Restauro — Italy’s leading exhibition dedicated to restoration, conservation, and cultural heritage innovation. 🇮🇹✨

The initiative, held from May 10th to 14th, organized by ITA Beirut, offered an important opportunity for dialogue, networking, and exchange between Mediterranean professionals, institutions, and companies operating in the restoration and heritage sectors.

In a challenging time for Lebanon, Italy stands firmly by its side. ITA Agency Beirut office organized the participation of a Lebanese delegation to attend the Salone del Mobile in Milan, from April 21 to 26, 2026.

Against all odds, ITA Beirut organized, the visit of the Lebanese delegation to The Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) 2026 , the world’s leading exhibition in the fields of heating, ventilation, air conditioning ( HVAC ), renewable energy and energy efficiency. MCE opened today in Milan at the Fiera Milano-Rho exhibition center and is held from 26th to 27th March 2026.

The exhibition, which continues until tomorrow, has a Lebanese participation invited by ITA Agency in collaboration with ANIMA , through a four-member delegation that included Chaddad Group, represented by its Chairman Said Chaddad, Batifort represented by its Chairman George Farhat, Rockland Group represented by Hadi Tarhini, and Man Enterprise represented by Ralph Kassab.

Yesterday, Mrs. Marina Scognamiglio, Trade Commissioner of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA Beirut), accompanied by H.E. Ambassador Marcelli, and Members of Lebitalia , headed by President Albert Aoun, visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tripoli, warmly hosted by President Toufic Dabbousi.
The round table discussions with local authorities focused on key ideas for developing Tripoli’s infrastructure and strengthening its economic and social growth, while exploring new opportunities for cooperation with Italian enterprises.
We were honored to meet Mayor of Tripoli; President of the Fayhaa Municipalities Union; Chairman of the Board of the Port of Tripoli, Chairman of the Rachid Karami International Fair; and President of the Special Economic Zone.
A meaningful exchange that reinforces Italian–Lebanese collaboration and opens promising perspectives for future joint projects.

At the invitation of H.E. Ambassador Stefano Ravagnan, Mrs. Marina Scognamiglio, Trade Commissioner of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) Beirut Office — competent for Lebanon, Syria, and Cyprus — undertook a two-day mission to Damascus aimed at strengthening economic dialogue and exploring new avenues of bilateral cooperation.

In coordination with the Italian Embassy, Mrs. Scognamiglio engaged in a high-level roundtable with 16 leading Syrian companies from Damascus, Aleppo, and Tartous, operating in strategic sectors such as energy, oil & gas, construction, banking, agri-food, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and textiles.

The discussions focused on reconstruction needs, modernization of industrial processes, technology transfer, and supply chain partnerships. Mrs. Scognamiglio reaffirmed ITA’s commitment to supporting Syrian companies through structured business matchmaking, sector-specific initiatives, and direct connections with Italian manufacturers and technology providers.

The meeting underscored Italy’s readiness to act as a reliable industrial and technological partner. Syrian participants expressed strong interest in deepening commercial ties and recognized the added value of Italian expertise in supporting economic recovery and industrial development.
