ຄະນະກຳມະການໂອແລມປິກແຫ່ງຊາດລາວ (ຄອລ) The First president of the NOCL was Gen. Singkapo SIKHONCHUNNAMALY.

The National Olympic Committee of Laos (NOCL) has established in 1978 and with reformed seven National Federation namely: Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Football, Shooting, Table tennis, and Volleyball Federation. It's has know to society as the mass Sport Organization in non profit and non-governmental Organization for jointly with government to responsible Sport development in Laos. It's was dur

ing his term, when the International Olympic Committee recognized the NOCL as a provisional membership in one year and fully membership in 1979. Lao PDR had the opportunity to send athletes to participate in the 22nd Olympic Games Moscow inn 1980. Since that period the NOCL is responsible for sending athletes representative of Laos to participate in Olympic Games, Asian Games and SEA Games as well as other events held under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)

Completed training for sports administrators in Xayaboury Province
On March 17-19, 2026, the Lao National Olympic Committee organized a sports administrator training for local sports administrators in Xayaboury District, Xayaboury Province, with a total of 22 male and 5 female participants from 6 cities in the province. The objective was to provide local administrators with sports knowledge based on the real-life experiences of administrators from the central government, the Lao National Olympic Committee, to enhance skills and ideas to promote sports development and create local sports personnel to participate in competitions, starting from within the province.

In addition, the training team also shared experiences through various lessons with the participating seminarians, which included the history of the International Olympic Process and the history of the Lao Sports Process and the Lao Olympics, initially in the following order: athlete development, development of competitions according to international regulations, and planning for participation in competitions.

Continue the Training camp project for badminton in Thakhek District, Khammouane Province, from 19 to 23 January 2026 (the 3rd province). The training camp in this province has a total of 20 athletes, 6 women & 5 outside the plan, from young boys to teenagers, aged between 8 - 16 years old. Each day, there are training sessions ranging from light to heavy. The badminton training camp in Savannakhet province has been successfully completed.
From January 12 to 19, 2026, there will be a period of semester 1 exams nationwide, which will affect some athletes who are interested in participating in the program. Overall, there are 15 athletes in the program, 4 women, and 9 non-program athletes (5 from Kaysone City and 4 from Songkhon District). All athletes are active and determined to train fully, but some athletes have given up the 1st semester examination to train (especially athletes from Songkhon District who have returned to take the exam again). I would like to express my respect to the athletes who are passionate about badminton and love the sport of badminton who have given up the exam to train with this project. Continue the Badminton Training Camp project in Kaysone Phomvihane, Savannakhet Province from 12 - 16 January 2026 (the second province)

The purpose is
1. To upgrade and develop the domestic badminton sports structure to be strong, including a systematic training system for athletes to advance to international standards.
2. Train the next generation of young athletes to prepare for participation in the 4 national federation competitions and prepare for the 2027 Student Games in Sekong Province.

There were 15 athletes (2 women) participating from various districts within the province, ranging in age from 14 to 38 years old. Training Camp for Badminton in Pakse City, Champasak Province on 05-09 January 2026
National Olympic Committee of Laos has Supported by the Olympic Solidarity (National Sports System Project in Badminton), the aim is to create and develop badminton players in local areas with the goal of developing athletes In the three southern provinces of Champasak, Savannakhet and Khammouane, starting with Champasak as the first province, 15 athletes (3 women) participated from the districts within the province, which are young people from the ages of 11 to 22, badminton is still a popular sport and is the leading sport after football in Champasak province.

ການອົບຮົມຄູຝຶກກິລາດອກປີກໄກ່ ໄດ້ສໍາເລັດເປັນທີ່ຮຽບຮ້ອຍແລ້ວ ເຊິ່ງໃນມື້ທີ 2 ແມ່ນລົົງພາກປະຕິບັດໂຕຈິງ, ໄດ້ມີການຖ່າຍທອດບົດຮຽນຈາກວິທະຍາກອນ ແລະ ປະຕິບັດໂຕຈິງພ້ອມກັນກັບນັກສໍາມະນາກອນ, ຮຽນຮູ້ການອົບອຸ່ນກ່ອນລົງຝຶກຊ້ອມ, ຮຽນຮູ້ທັກຊະຕ່າງໆໃນການນໍາໃຊ້ທ້ວງທ່າຂອງຮ່າງກາຍໃນກິລາດອກປີກໄກ່....... ແລະ ມື້ທີ 3 ນີ້ແມ່ນມີການສອບເສັງພາກທິດສະດີ ຕາມທີ່ໄດ້ຮຽນຮູ້ໃນພາກລົງປະຕິບັດໂຕຈິງມາ ເຊິ່ງມີຄໍາຖາມທິດສະດີຈໍານວນ 20 ຂໍ້ ເພື່ອວັດແທກຄວາມຮູ້, ຄວາມສາມາດຂອງນັກສໍາມະນາກອນທີ່ເຂົ້າຮ່ວມ ແລະ ຈະໄດ້ຮັບຮູ້ຄໍາຕອບການສອບເສັງດັ່ງກ່າວຈາກຊ່ຽວຊານໃນໄວໆນີ້
The badminton coach training has been successfully completed. On the second day, there was a practical session. The participants learned from the lecturers and practiced together with the trainees. They learned how to warm up before training and learned various skills in using body movements in badminton. On the third day, there was a theoretical exam based on what they learned in the practical session. There were 20 theoretical questions to measure the knowledge and abilities of the trainees. The answers to the exam will be provided by the experts soon.

Technical Course for Coaches Olympic Solidarity Development of the National Sports System Project in Badminton
On December 22, 2025, the Lao National Olympic Committee organized a badminton coach training course funded by the Olympic Solidarity which is a Fund of the Year 2025, by focusing on the project of developing a badminton sports structure system with quality, standards and improving the skills of personnel. This training was conducted by experts from neighboring Thailand as lecturers. More than 20 participants from domestic clubs participated in the training, who will be promoted to become badminton coaches in the future.

National Olympic Committee of Laos held a ceremony to hand over sports equipment sponsored by the Yunnan Provincial Sports Department, People's Republic of China, worth 510,400 yuan, or approximately 1,565,502,326 kip. A sports equipment was given by Mr. Zheng Xun and his delegation. On behalf National Olympic Committee of Laos, the recipients were Mr. Somphou Phongsa, Vice President, and Mr. Sengphone Phonamath, Vice President and Secretary of the Lao National Olympic Committee.
Today's handover ceremony is a symbol of friendship and good cooperation between the Yunnan Provincial Sports Department, People's Republic of China, and the Lao National Olympic Committee. This support will be an important force in upgrading the development of our sports to be stronger and more sustainable
