Today, in a more relaxed setting, I bid farewell to the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, H.E. Hans-Christian Freiherr von Reibnitz, who will conclude his diplomatic career at the end of June. I sincerely wish him the best in his retirement.

Today I attended the latest edition of the "Thought Leadership Circle: Unlocking Kuwait’sċ Market Potential", co-hosted by KDIPA and The Business Year, convened at Al Hamra Tower, bringing together government officials, business leaders, and private-sector stakeholders to discuss Kuwait’s evolving economic landscape and investment outlook.

Kelli l-unur niltaqa’ mal-Fundatriċi u l-Managing Partner tal-kumpanija, is-Sinjura Rabaa F***j. Mas-Sinjura F***j u mas-Sinjura Maryam Hosseinnia, iddiskutejna diversi modi kif il-Kuwait u Malta jistgħu jikkollaboraw aktar bejniethom fil-qasam artistiku u kulturali, inkluż il-promozzjoni ta’ snajja’ tradizzjonali.

Today, I paid a visit to the Mullenlowe Blu Kuwait, in Kuwait City, a private company with extensive experience in building effective communication channels including media, direct marketing, PR and public/private events. I had the honour to meet the company’s Founder and Managing Partner, Ms. Rabaa F***j. Together with Ms. F***j and Ms. Maryam Hosseinnia, we discussed various ways how Malta and Kuwait can further collaborate between each other in the artistic and cultural sector, including the promotion of traditional crafts.

The Honourable Dr Chris Fearne was appointed Minister for Foreign and European Affairs following the formation of the new legislature, and the Embassy of Malta in Kuwait extends its sincere congratulations to him on his appointment and wishes him every success in his new role.

Today, as Ambassador of Malta, I signed the Book of Condolences at the Embassy of Yemen on the occasion of the recent demise of the country's former President, H.E. Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi. During my visit, I met the Ambassador of Yemen to the State of Kuwait, H.E. Dr Ali Mansoor bin Sifa'a, where we discussed various ways in which the two countries can collaborate with each other in different sectors.

Recently, I had a courtesy visit by an artist from Kuwait, Maryam Al-Hosseiniah, who will shortly be organising an exhibition of artistic works in our country. In the interesting meeting I had with Ms. Al-Hosseiniah we discussed various ways how her unique artistic talents can be shared with those of Maltese artists.
