The new digital platform, accessible at pp.gpf.gov.gy, allows applicants to create an online account, fill passport applications electronically, provide the required information, and schedule passport appointments from the convenience of their homes or offices.

Press Release

The Honourable Hugh Hilton Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation met with Ms. Elena Bertola and Mr. Joscelyn Magdeleine, Services Trade experts from the World Trade Organisation (WTO) on June 16, 2026, who are in Guyana conducting a National Services Trade Workshop from June 16 to June 19, 2026.

Minister Todd expressed his appreciation for the assistance provided by the WTO in facilitating the Workshop and its contribution towards the enhancement of Guyana’s services regulatory framework and building of national capacity for greater competitiveness in the services sector. He noted the importance of the WTO’s role in promoting a rules based international economic system, for Guyana as a small state and a rapidly developing country.

The workshop which counts on the participation of sector Ministries and Agencies has as its objective the further strengthening of national capacity and stakeholder engagement in the Services Sector.

The Embassy of Guyana in Kuwait hosted a reception on 9 June 2026 to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Guyana's Independence and the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the State of Kuwait and Guyana.
Amb. Troy Torrington, charge d'Affaires delivered brief remarks and presented a token assistant Minister of foreign affairs for the Americas Abdoulaziz Saud AlQadfan.
The embassy also presented tokens of appreciation to its hardworking staff.

Happening now: Her Excellency Arya Ali, First Lady of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, is leading a delegation to the 19th Session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The delegation comprises Ganesh Singh, Programme Manager, Guyana Council of Organisations for Persons with Disabilities, Mrs. Alicia Jerome-Reece, Special Projects Officer, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs and Governance .

H.E. Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett, Permanent Representative of Guyana to the United Nations, H.E. Ambassador Trishala Persaud, Deputy Permanent Representative, Marissa Edwards, Minister Counsellor, Stephanie Savory, First Secretary and Abosede Hazlewood, Second Secretary, comprise the team from Guyana’s Permanent Mission to the UN.

The Conference of States Parties is held annually, since 2008, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, covering a range of themes and issues on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

The 19th Session is being held from 9-11 June 2026, under the theme 'CRPD at 20: celebrating and consolidating achievements and shaping the next phase of implementation in a changing world.'
