Intensive visit of 🇧🇪 Foreign Minister to Beirut 🇱🇧 (April 😎 during which he delivered Belgium’s message of support and deep solidarity with the Lebanese people and government.

The temporary ceasefire between the US and Iran and the announcement that Israel has agreed to negotiate with Lebanon for a cessation of hostilities are good news for the Middle East.

HE Sheikh Jarrah Al-Sabah, FM of , received a call from HE Maxime Prévot, Deputy PM & FM of , who expressed Belgium’s solidarity with Kuwait following the Iranian attack and reaffirmed the importance of respecting Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In light of recent developments and the announcement made by Belgium’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Maxime Prévot, H.E. Ambassador Christian Dooms hosted a press briefing with representatives of the local media.
The Ambassador announced that the decision regarding the closure of the Embassy of Belgium in Kuwait has been postponed for one year.
This period will allow both Belgium and Kuwait to reflect, assess, and further strengthen their bilateral relations, and to explore new avenues for cooperation.
Belgium remains committed to maintaining its diplomatic presence in Kuwait. The continuation of this representation will depend on reciprocal efforts and a shared commitment to deepening the longstanding ties between our two countries.
