The Korean Institute of Criminology and Justice (KICJ) is pleased to announce the publication of seven 2026 issues of Crime & Justice Statistics in Korea, CJSK. 📊

⚖️ KICJ held an academic conference commemorating the 5th anniversary of its expansion into justice policy research, discussing achievements and future global legal challenges.

Based on the discussions, KICJ plans to further expand comprehensive justice policy research and strengthen its policy support functions for the advancement of national justice policy.

The conference brought together researchers and practitioners to discuss the history and achievements of legal exchange between Korea and France, as well as future directions for cooperation. held an exchange and cooperation meeting on May 15 with delegations from the Korean Society for Rehabilitation and the Japanese Association of Offenders Rehabilitation.

During the meeting, participants shared the major activities and research trends of their respective institutions and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Korea and Japan in the fields of correctional rehabilitation and recidivism prevention. Future cooperation measures, including joint research and academic exchanges, were also discussed.

co-hosted the “14th Korea-Japan Joint Spring Academic Conference 2026” on May 14 at the National Assembly Members’ Office Building in collaboration withthe Korean Society for Rehabilitation(KSR), the Japanese Association of Offenders Rehabilitation(JAOR), and The Office of Representative Kyungwon Na(People Power Party).

The conference brought together experts from Korea and Japan to discuss policy measures and institutional improvements aimed at preventing recidivism among drug offenders. Key topics included rehabilitation programs, treatment support in correctional facilities, and responses to drug trafficking through social networks.
