찬춘싱 공공서비스조정장관 겸 국방부 장관은 2026년 5월 31일 싱가포르에서 열린 샹그릴라 대화 폐회 세션에서 발언하며, 전 세계의 국방 지도자 및 대표들과 함께한 며칠간의 뜻깊은 논의와 교류를 마무리했습니다.
찬 장관은 “분쟁은 세 가지 ‘초월’, 즉 지리적 한계의 초월, 군사적 화력의 초월, 그리고 현재 시점의 초월이라는 측면에서 진화해 왔다”며, “분쟁이 진화함에 따라 우리는 원칙(principles), 파트너십(partnerships), 국내 정치(domestic politics)라는 세 가지 ‘P’에 따라 대응해야 한다”고 설명했습니다. 이어 “이는 공존에 필요한 원칙을 지키고, 유연하고 사안별로 접근하는 파트너십을 채택하며, 국내에서 신뢰를 구축함으로써 국내 정치를 강화하는 것을 의미한다”고 전했습니다.
Coordinating Minister for Public Service and Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing delivered remarks at the closing session of the Shangri-la Dialogue in Singapore on 31 May 2026. This brought to a close several days of meaningful discussions and exchanges with defence leaders and representatives from around the world.
Minister Chan shared that ”conflicts have evolved in terms of three ‘beyonds’ – beyond geography, beyond military firepower and beyond the here-and-now. As conflicts evolve, we must respond along the three ‘Ps’ of principles, partnerships and domestic politics. This means preserving the principles that are necessary for co-existence, adopting flexible and issue-based partnership, and strengthening our domestic politics by building confidence at home.“
