Since the launch of Asiana Airlines' direct service, the daily direct flights between Seoul and Budapest have been operating at full capacity. ✈️ During a dinner at the Ambassador's residence, vice chairman of the company, Mr. Kim Jong Min and Ambassador Szerdahelyi discussed how to further increase flight capacity between the two capitals.

What a performance and what a success! The closing performance of the Busan International Performing Arts Festival, presented by the Hungarian National Theatre and the Hungarian National Dance Assembly, was a drama based on the classic Körhinta (Merry-Go-Round), beautifully infused with folk dance elements. Prior to the performance, Ambassador Szerdahelyi delivered a short introduction and welcome speech in Korean.

Professor Hong Kyudok, President of the International Policy Institute, former Deputy Minister of National Defense, and former Ambassador to Hungary, has earned imperishable merit in strengthening Korean-Hungarian relations during his diplomatic mission. In recognition of his dedicated efforts and outstanding activities, the President of Hungary has awarded Professor Hong the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary. The solemn award ceremony, where Ambassador Szerdahelyi presented the decoration, was attended by Professor Hong's colleagues, students, and numerous prominent Korean personalities. The guests also enjoyed a traditional Korean dance performance; the performers, who were students of Professor Hong, had previously performed in Hungary as well.

대한민국 국방부 실장, 주헝가리 대한민국 대사를 역임한 홍규덕 국제정책연구원장이자 숙명여자대학교 명예교수는 주헝가리 대사로 재임 당시 한-헝가리 관계 강화에 크게 기여하는 공적을 세웠습니다. 이에 헝가리 대통령은 홍규덕 교수에게 헝가리 십자공로훈장을 수여했습니다. 새르더해이 주한 헝가리 대사가 훈장을 수여한 수여식에는 홍규덕 교수의 동료, 제자, 그리고 여러 한국 주요 인사들이 참석했습니다. 또한, 홍규덕 교수의 제자들이 선보인 한국 전통 무용 공연도 즐길 수 있었습니다. 이들은 앞서 헝가리에서도 공연한 바 있습니다.

Gastronomy and wine culture serve as fundamental instruments for strengthening interpersonal relations. Hungary highly values the efforts of two Korean enterprises, "The Lángos" Hungarian restaurant and "Csillag Wine," a company specializing in Hungarian wines, in this significant field.
In recognition of their contributions, the President of Hungary has decorated Cho Yunji and Lee Sihyeong, the founders and owners of The Lángos Hungarian restaurant, as well as Bae Hyeryung, the founder and owner of Csillag Wine, with the Hungarian Silver Cross of Merit.

요리와 와인은 사람 간의 관계를 강화하는데 매우 중요한 수단입니다. 이런 의미에서 헝가리는 한국 외식업체 ’더랑고스’와 헝가리 와인 수입업체 ’칠락와인’의 노력을 매우 가치 있게 여깁니다.

The Liszt Society of Korea worthily represents Hungarian culture in Korea. Under the leadership of Professor Hwang Yun-ha, the society has mentored and supported hundreds of young Korean pianists in pursuing their studies in Hungary at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.
The Embassy and the Liszt Institute Seoul have provided comprehensive support for the Society's operations. As a gesture of gratitude, following a magical gala concert, President Hwang presented a commemorative plaque to Ambassador Szerdahelyi.

한국 리스트 협회는 헝가리 문화를 가치 있게 대변하고 있습니다. 황윤하 교수님의 지도하에, 협회는 수백 명으로 구성된 한국 피아니스트들의 헝가리 페렌츠 리스트 음악원에서의 학업 진행에 있어서 멘토링과 지원을 제공하였습니다.

주한 헝가리 대사관과 서울 리스트 문화원은 해당 협회의 운영에 있어 포괄적인 후원을 제공해 왔습니다. 황홀한 갈라 콘서트 이후, 감사의 의미로, 황 회장은 세르더헤이 대사님께 기념패를 전달하였습니다.
