기부자이신 故 최창규 박사의 부인 장성숙 여사와 장녀 최연희 여사를 통해 두 분의 삶에 담긴 나눔과 봉사의 의미, 인재를 키우는 장학사업의 가치, 그리고 다음 세대에 전하고 싶은 뜻을 들어봅니다.

[The Story of Donor Dr. Charles Kyu Choi] Continuing a Legacy of Giving, Taking Steps Toward a Sustainable Future

Through the reflections of Mrs. Sung Sook Choi, wife of the late Dr. Charles Kyu Choi, and his eldest daughter, Ms. Yonhee Gordon, we explore the meaning of giving and service that has shaped their lives, the value of scholarship programs that nurture future talent, and the hopes and values they wish to pass on to the next generation.

Looking back on a longstanding journey of giving, they also share candid thoughts on the role Yonsei University can play in the years ahead and the aspirations behind their donation toward building a more sustainable future.

[EmpoweringTalks] 제2화: 여성의 리더십, 도전 그리고 성장

글로벌사회공헌원은 지속가능발전목표(SDGs)에 대한 교내 인식을 높이고, 지속 가능한 미래를 위한 담론을 확산하고자 Empowering Talks 영상 시리즈를 기획·제작하고 있습니다.

제2화에서는 '여성의 리더십, 도전 그리고 성장'을 주제로, 기부자이신 故 최창규 박사의 장녀 최연희 여사와 함께합니다. 38년간 금융계에서 걸어온 경험을 바탕으로 변화와 도전의 순간마다 자신만의 길을 만들어온 과정, 여성 리더로서 마주한 경험과 배움, 그리고 후배 세대가 자신의 가능성을 발견하고 더 넓은 세상으로 나아가기 위해 필요한 용기와 가치에 대해 진솔한 이야기를 나눕니다.

앞으로도 지속적으로 유익한 콘텐츠를 선보일 예정이니 많은 관심과 시청 부탁드립니다.

[Empowering Talks] Episode 2: Women’s Leadership, Challenges, and Growth

The Institute for Global Engagement & Empowerment at Yonsei University has planned and produced the Empowering Talks video series to raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on campus and to foster meaningful dialogue toward a sustainable future.

In Episode 2, titled “Women’s Leadership, Challenges, and Growth,” we are joined by Ms. Yonhee Gordon, the eldest daughter of the late Dr. Charles Kyu Choi, a valued donor. Drawing on her 38 years of experience in the financial industry, Ms. Gordon shares candid reflections on how she forged her own path through moments of change and challenge, as well as the experiences and lessons she gained as a woman leader. She also discusses the courage and values that can help the next generation discover their potential and take steps toward a broader world.
