On Friday, September 26th, 168th MMB Powerhouse Battalion held an award ceremony for recipients of the prestigious German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (GAFPB). The Blood Knights are proud of their Commander who exemplifies what it means to set the standard not only by words but also by action. He scored high enough to be awarded the Gold award which represents the highest level performance.

Recovery does not mean that our training exercise is over. It means we return our equipment to Full Mission Capable Status, take inventory of our supply and check on our people to ensure we are ready to go at anytime!

PMF Day 5:

In addition to movement to our respective areas/bases, the Blood Knights completed a real world Blood Delivery Mission to a Role 3.

PMF Day 4:
All teams across all areas conducted Walking Blood Bank Training with other units and the Area III team received and processed a late night blood product shipment.

PMF Day 3: The team in Area III received BG Wilkerson and LTC Chung who joined us to conduct a blood delivery via drone to our host nation hospital in case of a disrupted supply channel. The rest of the team conducted weekly quality Control on our medical equipment to ensure that we stay ready!

Day 3 PMF: Our distribution team in Area IV delivered blood products to our Role 2 in Busan while the rest of the team conducted weekly Quality Control on our equipment, tactical Communication training with the radios and Blood draw training with our KATUSA counterparts.

Day 3 of PMF:

The Blood Knight distribution team at K16 delivered a resupply of blood products to the Role 2 at Chuncheon and conducted CBRN training.

With the Blood Knights spread across three areas (K16, Area III and Area IV), day 2 kicked off with a visit from MG (Dr) Cox from 18th Medical Command with the team in Area III. The K16 team conducted Emergency Walking Blood Bank (EWBB) Training and Platelet Apheresis Training while the Area III and Area IV teams conducted EWBB and Platelat Apheresis Training respectively.
