In alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5400.17 and recent Executive Orders issued by the President, the U.S. Army has reviewed and adjusted its social media content to ensure compliance with DoD policies and priorities. Saying farewell is always such a difficult time. This week we bid farewell to our KATUSA extraordinaire, SGT Junho Huh! In the military it is rarely farewell, but instead, see you soon.

SGT Huh has been with this OSJA for the previous 15 months and has been an unparalleled addition to not only the energy of the office, but also the overall mission of the 2d Infantry Division!

SGT Huh, thank you for your Second To None support to this OSJA and we have truly appreciated having you here. Safe travels and good luck! We'll see you on the high ground.

Saying farewell is always such a difficult time. This week the OSJA gathered to say farewell to our 3CR MJA, CPT Bradley!

Although CPT Bradley has only been with the 2ID OSJA for the previous 3 months, he has been a stellar addition to not only the energy of the office, but also the overall mission of the 2d Infantry Division!

On 26 April 2025, members of the 2ID OSJA conducted an off-site LPD event at the Incheon Landing Memorial and Museum. Over 45 members of the Warrior Legal Team received a private tour detailing General MacArthur’s bold amphibious assault that turned the tide of the Korean War. Following the LPD, 2ID OSJA personnel enjoyed a nightcap at Incheon SSG Landers Field where the Landers beat Suwon’s KT Wiz 5-3.

On 9 April, 2ID JAG Corps. held an all hands event where we recognized everyone’s contributions and achievements during their stay in Korea as well as during Freedom Shield. Congratulations to everyone who was recognized and we thank you for your contributions.

We also shed tears for those who were leaving. We will truly miss them as we progress with our mission.
2ID JAG also welcomed our new rotational brigade, 3CR. Welcome to our team!

A special congratulations to CPT Oh for his newborn!

On March 1st, all legal personnel in Korea had a dinning-in at the Morning Calm Center. It was a great opportunity to build camaraderie and encourage esprit de corps with members of the legal team all around the Korean peninsula. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a special thanks to those who helped organize the event. Warrior Legal!

On 27 February 2024, CPT Keong Min (Danny) Oh was awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal for his outstanding contributions to the US Force Korea (USFK) and 2d Infantry Division (2ID) investigations into the unauthorized crossing of the military demarcation line. A special thanks to COL Tony Kim, the USFK Judge Advocate, for helping recognize CPT Oh’s hard work and dedication to mission accomplishment. This Tuesday, 2ID OSJA traveled to Daejon, South Korea to visit the Republic of Korea Army Headquarters and the National Memorial. It was a very meaningful trip, visiting our ROK counterparts at the OTJAG and paying respects to the fallen soldiers of the country. A special thanks to CPT Kim, our ROK Attorney for flawlessly planning and executing the trip. Have a great Lunar New Year everybody!

It has been a very exciting week at the 2ID OSJA as we prepare to go into the holiday block leave period! We have had our annual Door Decorating Contest, Pancake Breakfast Day, Holiday Treat Exchange Extravaganza, and even an OSJA Holiday Extravaganza coordinated by our Head Elf, MAJ C. Herriford. On top of all of that, we also had the fantastic opportunity to see one of our own promoted... Congratulations CPT Coster! A well-deserved promotion for an amazing officer.

2023 has been a year of full of change, challenges, and excitement. The 2d Infantry Division OSJA welcomed a whole new Foundation along with a new Chief of Administrative Law, four new Brigade Judge Advocates, the entire Mountain Warrior Legal Team, and numerous other invaluable teammates. Some of us became new parents. Some of us lost loved ones. We all paid our final respects to Ms. Chon, a beloved member of the OSJA, who will not soon be forgotten. We all continue to stand together with the Republic of Korea to defend freedom and democracy. These extremes have tested us all mentally, physically, and emotionally. Through countless challenging legal tasks—from investigating the first MDL crossing by a U.S. Army Soldier since 1982 to the grueling warfighter exercise—our resilience has been truly tested.

Your unwavering dedication, steadfast positivity, and incredibly hard work is evidence that the Warrior Legal Team truly is Second to None. As 2023 draws to a close, and we welcome a festive holiday season, we thank you all for being amazing teammates. You are greatly appreciated. 2ID and the OSJA could not perform its forward deployed mission without you!
