On Monday, U.S. Space Forces – Korea kicked off space operations for Freedom Shield 26, an annual bilateral exercise with the Republic of Korea.

Our Guardians are conducting 24/7 operations, synchronizing with ground, air, sea, cyber and information forces to enhance our combined defensive readiness. By integrating space across every domain, we’re strengthening our U.S.-ROK Alliance and ability to “Fight Tonight.”

⚓️ Bridging Space and Sea 💫

Maj Bilal Riddick and 1st Lt Roman Ocampo from U.S. Space Forces Korea joined U.S. 7th Fleet aboard the U.S.S. Blue Ridge during a seven-day underway from Japan to Korea.

This unique opportunity allowed Space and Navy teams to explore new ways to integrate space capabilities into maritime operations—strengthening joint readiness across domains.

UFS 25 saw a unique convergence of targeting expertise as U.S. Air Force targeting analysts and a U.S. Space Force intel Guardians worked together to enhance joint and combined operational effectiveness.

Augmentees focused on constructing capabilities to deliver intelligence for target development and helped foster interoperability with Republic of Korea partners.

Strengthening Space and Air Operations in Korea 🇺🇸🇰🇷

51 FW leadership toured space operations at Osan Air Base to deepen collaboration and highlight the growing role of Space Force on the peninsula. Colonel Ley and Chief Vogel received an in-depth U.S. Space Forces Korea mission and intelligence brief, and saw firsthand the progress on the new headquarters. The visit concluded with a stop at the Joint Tactical Ground Station team, underscoring the critical link between space operations and airpower in maintaining readiness across the Indo-Pacific.
