Visit to KMOU, Ambassador of Finland to Korea
On the 15th, 도덕희 president of KMOU held a meeting with the Finnish delegation in Korea.
The meeting was held at the university headquarters to explore ways to cooperate in higher education between universities following the formation of friendly relations between Finland and Korea.
Major figures such as Pekka Petso, the Finnish delegation to Korea, attended the meeting.
At Woori University, President Dodeok-hee and officials from the International Exchange Headquarters attended and announced their position.
At the meeting, they focused on signing an international academic exchange agreement with universities related to the maritime sector in Finland.
Finland has been aware of the importance of sea routes such as the Turkic, Helsinki, and Rauma regions from an early age and has developed the shipbuilding and shipping industries.
In particular, it has excellent competitiveness in icebreakers and cruise ships.
After a friendly meeting with President Dodeok-hee, the Finnish delegation in Korea also visited the Hanbada Lake, a government official at our university.
The meeting with the Finnish delegation in Korea is expected to serve as a priming water for mutual exchange.
Meanwhile, Finnish Ambassador to Korea Pekka Petso has been in office since September 2020. He served as the U.N. ambassador to Finland and the director of the United States and Asia-Pacific Bureau in Helsinki.
