여러 영상을 통해 이란의 급박한 정세가 전해지고 있다.
서방 매체들은 이 시위가 경제위기와 이슬람 학정에 지친 이란 시민들의 시위라고 설명하지만, 2011년 발생한 시리아나 리비아의 정권교체 시위랑 오히려 매우 닮아있다. 친제국주의 하수인 정권이 타도된 지역에서 다시 친미 정권을 수립하려는 제국주의 정권교체.
--'경제 위기, 민주주의' 때문에 발생했다는 시위가 정부가 있는 테헤란이 아닌 이라크와의 접경지 변방에서 시작되고 전개된다는 점
--시위가 대중적 결집 단계를 거치지 않고, 방화 살인 등 무차별적 폭력행위로 시작되고 있다는 점
--대중이 아니라 소규모 폭력집단이 주도하고 있다는 점
화염방사기, 총기 등으로 무장하여 오토바이를 타고 움직이는 사람에 점화하거나, 차량으로 도망가는 지역 경찰서장을 역시 차량으로 쫓으며 기관총으로 사살하고, 심지어 그 과정을 매끄럽게 촬영한다는 점에서 일반인이 아니라 잘 훈련된 군사요원으로 보인다는 점
--친미 학정으로 1979년에 타도되었던 팔라비 국왕의 복귀를 외친다는 점
--수만 명을 잔인무도하게 학살하는 이스라엘의 만행에는 눈하나 깜짝 않던 미국 트럼프가 즉각 개입을 공공연히 천명한다는 점에서 그렇다.
Through numerous videos, Iran’s rapidly deteriorating situation is being conveyed.
Western media describe these protests as demonstrations by Iranian citizens exhausted by the economic crisis and Islamic authoritarian rule. However, they in fact bear a striking resemblance to the regime-change protests that occurred in Syria and Libya in 2011. This appears to be another imperialist regime-change attempt aimed at installing a pro-U.S. government in regions where pro-imperialist client regimes had previously been overthrown.
This is evident in several respects:
--the fact that protests allegedly sparked by “economic crisis” and “democracy” did not begin or unfold in Tehran, where the government is located, but rather in peripheral border regions adjacent to Iraq;
--the fact that the protests did not go through a phase of broad popular mobilization but instead began with indiscriminate violent acts such as arson and murder;
--the fact that they are led not by the masses but by small violent groups;
--the fact that participants, armed with flamethrowers and fi****ms, move on motorcycles to set people on fire, or chase fleeing local police chiefs with vehicles and execute them with machine guns—while even filming the entire process smoothly—suggesting that they are not ordinary civilians but well-trained military operatives;
the fact that they openly call for the restoration of the Pahlavi monarch, who was overthrown in 1979 for his pro-American authoritarian rule;
--and the fact that Donald Trump’s United States, which did not so much as bat an eye at Israel’s brutal massacres of tens of thousands, is now openly declaring its intention to intervene immediately.
