As a Youth Impact Awardee in the area of Youth Development – Pageantry & Mentorship, Ms. Thibou-Newton hosted a Pageantry Academy Bootcamp from April 7th to 17th, 2026, at the Nevis Cultural Village for girls between the ages of 5 and 17.

A total of 28 girls attended, ranging in age from 4 to 15 years old. Daily sessions covered public speaking, etiquette and manners, sewing, grooming, hairstyling, skincare and makeup, self-esteem and confidence building, and modeling.

On the final day, each participant received a certificate and a trinket bag.

Special thanks to Regency Assurance for sponsoring and helping to make this event possible!

🌟 Discover Nevis Easter Camp 2026 – Closing Ceremony Highlights 🌟

What a wonderful way to celebrate an unforgettable camp experience! As we near the end of our “Discover Nevis” journey, our Closing Ceremony was filled with talent, creativity, and proud moments.

Campers from all groups showcased what they’ve learned through poems, songs, and dances, highlighting the themes and experiences from the past two weeks.

A big congratulations to all our campers for their amazing performances. You made us proud! 👏🏾

✨ And the fun isn’t over just yet! Tomorrow is our final day, and we’ll be heading to the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park for a day full of fun, games, and celebration to close off an incredible camp experience! 🎈

Discover Nevis Easter Camp 2026 – Taste of Nevis Grand Finale!

We wrapped up our Taste of Nevis theme yesterday in the sweetest way possible! Campers had an amazing time getting hands-on and learning how some of our favourite local treats are made right here on Nevis 🇰🇳

The day was filled with fun and flavor as campers made delicious “suckers” with the help of Delicia Julius, and traditional sugar cake guided by Ermine Hendrickson.

They also enjoyed a lively Show & Tell (Fruit & Vegetable Edition), got creative with painting, and put their taste buds to the test in the exciting “Guess the Food” challenge. 😋🎨

As we close out our Taste of Nevis thematic days, we extend heartfelt thanks to all our partners who shared their knowledge of agro-processing and local treat-making with our campers. A special thank you to Marcia Rawlins (Food Science) for facilitating the tamarind ball session on Wednesday.

Discover Nevis Easter Camp 2026 – Days 5 & 6 Recap

Day 5 – Flora & Fauna 🌿
Campers spent the day exploring the natural beauty of Nevis with visits to the Bath Hot Springs, Bath Hotel, and Fort Charles. They also stopped by the Tropical Blossom Plant Nursery and the local Agro-processing Centre, learning more about plants and how local products are made.

The hands-on fun continued with planting seeds, painting canvas bags, and creative activities like Jeopardy and making a paper mâché sugar mill. 🎨

Day 6 – Taste of Nevis
Day 6 was all about enjoying local flavors! Campers sampled a variety of homemade treats, took part in a fun “Guess My Food” challenge, got creative with crafts, and even made their own tamarind balls. 😋
